The larger trays are nice. The lower temperature settings are nice too 95F-166F. Top tray is 2 trays tall because the lid domes up. The lid can also put in top tray upside down to reduce space when storing or air volume when drying a smaller load. Larger fruiting bodies like a chonky lion's mane, will need to be cut up. Not a big deal in my opinion because when I dry those it's because I am going to be powdering it anyways. Seems like it's got a decent coil as well. I've burnt through a few other brands. Works great! I've had it for about a month now and I've used it at least a half dozen times and works wonderful! Trays are sturdy and are well made. Perfect for drying out your shrooms. I run my machine on about 110 degrees for at least 12 to 24 hours. If they feel like they're not fully dried out I'll run them for a couple more hours on the lowest setting with no heat just the fan. ... show more

Great basic mushroom dehydrator. It has a knob for tempature adjustment, not a screen and buttons. There is no timer. Still a great deal for the price.

I've been eyeing this for a while but had purchased another dehydrator recently. The trays were just too short, it went back and I bought the Myco dehydrator. So glad I did. The trays are unlike any other in terms of size; perfect for mushrooms. I load it up before bed and let it run overnight. Worked well for beet root powder as well. I really like the design, especially the large top that allows larger mushrooms to be dried. Unfortunately, this dehydrator only blows cold air. There's a temperature control knob that does absolutely nothing. This isn't a dehydrator; it's a fan with plastic trays. This was my first time using a dehydrator for my mushrooms. The top tray really came in handy today, because of the height, I didn't have to cut my larger mushrooms!
