  • It works for me, better than Kreepy Crawly
First of all lets face it, done of these products are inexpensive . But for the value I found this M6 simple to operate and the best value. Recently I've tried the newest "Smart" Robot, Battery and Electric. They suck. If your trying to impress your techie friends go ahead and waste your money. I'll take a simple mechanical item that works over some high tech electronic item any day. Regarding the Smart Battery Robot, they get confused, just like the ones that are suppose to clean your house (shark, ninja ,etc). This is the thing!! $$$$$$ The batteries are going to wear out, electronic parts are going to go out. You can count on that! Only 1 year warranty. The one unit I brought paid over $700.00 Called the manufacture and asked the cost of the replacement battery. They wouldn't tell me, they said when the battery goes out, you need to buy a new machine . Really !! Ok Back to the M6 . If you follow the instruction, really simple it works great. Two important issues. #1 the hose length is important , just one length too many and it gets curly cues and hinders the operations . #2 the rpm of the wheels is based on the flow volume of your pool. The suggested rotation 20-25 per 10 revolutions doesn't work for everyone. I have a 16,000 gal. 32 ft. long pool. With a Solar heating system. When the solar is working, my flow rate is about 38 rpm , with my pump running at 2000 rpm's. When the solar is not working, my flow rate at the same pump speed goes up to about 50 to 55 gpm. With the solar on I have to adjust my diverter valve for the M6 to 17-18 revolutions to get more volume. When the solar is off, I have to close it down it down. I hope I didn't confuse anyone. The Zodiac M6 works great . If you got the right hose length . And your flow rate is set for your pool operation. If the Zodiac climbs the wall all the way up to the tile line and try to climb out of your pool, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH FLOW AND RPM'S, and it will suck in air and hinder the operation. On the other hand if it doesn't climb the walls and just sits on the bottom, and doesn't move well. You need to increase the flow rate. Don't just go by the 20-25 rpm per 10, you may have to adjust it a little. Every pool flow rate is different based on your pump settings rpm and flow rpm. But the Zodiac really does a great job, very happy , it's simple to operate. AND IT WORKS, NO ELECTRONIC CRAP AND SMART TECHNOLOGY THATS HAS FLAWS TO DEAL WITH . ... show more

  • Well worth the price
After years of waiting to get a new pool skimmer replacement All I can say is I wish I had done it sooner. I didn't realize how much more efficient the newer motor was going to be and was absolutely impressed from the moment I started the skimmer up. When purchasing I also didn't know that the skimmer came with 32 ft of hose as well as connectors and flow regulators. When this went on sale for $250 it was a no brainer. Some reviewers complained that the skimmer takes the full power of the pump to run, and they could not use the pool pump to run other filters. While that is true with my case as well, my pool pump is very old and probably needs to be replaced. This is not zodiacs problem, and would be an issue with similar skimmers. Even when I dedicate power to the other filters the skimmer still runs just at a slower pace and will miss somethings but doesn't stop it from running. Pros: -Price for what you get -Ease of set up -Quiet -Power and durability Cons: -It can miss the more finer particles since it sits slightly above the surface it's cleaning. -With the old skimmer leaves would get caught but I believe this could have been due to the motor no longer working to full capacity ... show more

  • The unit was great until my hoses literally fell apart!
So I had loved my pool sweep, it was great, bought Jan 2023 and a few weeks ago, my kids took the sweep out of the pool and the hoses literally fell apart, it was like are you serious!! So I called my chemical company to see if they added anything different and they didn’t and then I ordered two different packets of hoses on Amazon and they didn’t fit, contacted the company and said how could this happen and they gave me a few ridiculous reasons like I’m not supposed to keep the sweep in the pool if it’s not in use and I’m laughing still and a few other ridiculous reasons, that I would have never thot a manufacture of a pool sweep would even say. Then I was told by the company that Amazon replacement hoses are a knock off and won’t work with the unit and I had to go to a pool supply company that sells the hoses. So I did that the other day and they only had three hoses 39 inches each for $30 each which won’t be enough to cover my pool so I’ve already spent the original amount for the unit and now I had to pay $100 for a few hoses, and hope they get more in so I can sweep the entire length of my pool, so I am not a happy customer at all. I would have never thot my hose would fall apart or that I would have to pay such an outrageous amount to replace it, so I’m kinda stuck. I’m thinking is this going to happen again?? Anyway my chemical company recommended this sweep, and I love how it works but after what I’m going through I will definitely not recommend this to anyone!! ... show more
