  • Pretty Chuffed
Style: Body Only Set: Base
Had all the items in the box, uploaded first photo to a shuttercount website. It only had a shutter count of 19! Maybe they reset the chip or something, but it is pristine. 10/10 so far

  • Really Great Camera Body With Lots Of Upgrade Over Previous Model
Style: Body Only Set: Base
I have shot with an A6500, an A7III, and now the A7IV - this is a bigger upgrade over the A7III than I anticipated! The photo image quality is noticeably better, not only are the images bigger 33MP vs 24MP, but the high ISO noise performance is much improved and the AF is better. For video the A7IV steps things up big time with 10-bit footage and being able to grab 4K60 is really nice. The video files are fantastic looking - very close to those out of one of the Cine models (FX30, FX3) - the A7III can't touch the quality of these video files! ... show more

I went from the A7 2 to the 4 and there is a huge upgrade. In video / photos settings… everything! Highly recommend. So happy I am able to use the same lenses and attachments from the previous model. Definitely Recommend

Style: Body Only Set: Base
Nice looking camera, but it never turned on. Battery placed correctly. Then plugged in. Nada. You would think that they would check such a basic thing before sending it out. Renewed? Just a hassle.

  • Great vs Nikon D800
Style: Body Only Set: Base
I finally decided to upgrade from my D800 to a newer camera body. The only requirement I had was that it needed to be able to use my existing lenses, Nikon F mount, from times past. There is a Monster adapter that has a AF screw allowing me to use ALL my nikkor lenses on a sony E mount body. Nikon doesn't even have this. I cannot mount my 135mm 1:2 D AF DC Nikkor lens on any modern mirrorless camera by nikon. I do not understand why Nikon would screw me over by not supporting any of my mainstay lenses on their newer bodies, but they did. Anyway, Sony to the rescue. This A7IV is much faster, around 10 fps, 4 fps faster than my d800. Even in low light. The greatest downside about this body vs my D800 is that it isn't ergonomic. It is so small it is hard to hold and control. It does not fit my (5'7" Amercian of European Descent) hands like a D800. It requires me to go through menus to do what I can do with button on the D800. The battery life is half that of the D800, even though the battery is the same size and more modern. ... show more
