This has been the BEST pool season ever!!! I can’t believe how much money in chemicals I saved using the Pool RX!!!! I waited to write a review as I was very skeptical if this was going to really work. I’ve had it in my pool for 3 months and can’t believe how AWESOME the Pool RX works!! I live in Michigan, get lots of rain and fight with algae every year. After reading the reviews, doing research I bit the bullet hoping to save money on algicide and chemicals. The instructions said do not backwash the filter for 2 weeks after the product dissolved. I have to say, there is no way I have ever gone 2 weeks without backwashing but I’ll be darned, I didn’t have to and the algae was gone and my water has never been so crystal clear!!! I have 18,000 gallons in my pool and the research says you don’t have to shock your water weekly. Again, I thought that was impossible! I did shocked my pool 14 days after added Pool RX - only because I was scared my water would turn cloudy or green even though it was crystal clear. I had to close my floating chlorine thingy because the chlorine levels were so high - which again surprised me because they say you’ll use less chlorine and that was so true!! As the end of the season is approaching, I’ve only shocked my pool 3 times this season, used a fraction of the chlorine tabs I always used and can’t believe my water is crystal clear! I’ve always had to add phosphate remover every year and the instructions stated you won’t have to add any and again, I didn’t!! I can’t believe I’ve only had to spend $75.00 for the Pool RX, have used 6 gallons of liquid chlorine (which I got an awesome sale price of $3.00 a gallon) and approximately 16 of the 3” chlorine tablets so far this season!!! Ok, I am not the best at leaving reviews for products. Also, I really try to stay away from Snake Oil products. Reading the reviews for this product, there were good results and not so good results. Purchased this in May 2022 and it is now middle of July 2022. Is this the magic bullet that will clear up your pool? Not sure about that but it does work. My issue has always been, living in the Deep South (Georgia), hot, humid, rainy conditions, leading to algae growth and cloudy water. So, we opened our pool in May and the water was somewhat clear. Added this to the skimmer and it seemed to get worse, not better. I couldn't get the pool to keep chlorine no matter what I added. The instructions say to not backwash for 2 weeks after beginning its use. It was so hard not to backwash it since the water just didn't look right, but I patiently waited for the 2 weeks to pass. So, went back to the basics, making sure my water chemistry was right. PH was low, so low it read below the scale (less than 7). Alkalinity was low also, around 40. Added probably 15 or more pounds of Borax to pool and got PH to 7.6. I then added Baking Soda and got the Alkalinity to around 100. Checking chlorine levels, I was at 3.0 ppm. So, it would rain, usually giving me algae. The water remained crystal clear, almost like a sheet of glass. Each time I check, Free Chlorine stays between 2 and 3, Combined Chlorine is zero. I don't have an algae issue this year AND my water sparkles. The only thing different? PoolRX I haven't shocked it one time since it got balanced AND it has stayed in balance even with the rain and occasional addition of water from our well. I have had to add back in Baking Soda because of the well water. I have to say that this product has saved me money this year in chlorine (and we all know how expensive that stuff is!). ... show more

This product is amazing. I put it into my pool pumb and it started to work right away. After two to three hours I could tell the difference already. After a day or two the pool water was crystal clear. I had never been able to get this done with just shock, chlorine and PH. I put this gadget now in my skimmer and prefer to leave it there to allow the pool pump to be free and clear. It works there just as fine. I put it in Monday and today is Sunday. A whole week and so far had not added any additional chemicals. My pool is a 12.000 Gallon pool, but this works great in bigger pools as well up to 20K Gallon. if you have a bigger pool just place two in the basket. Great product and worth the money and more. I highly recommend Pool RX 101001. Lets see how long it lasts...I am hopeful. UPDATE: 4 weeks later Pool is still crystal clear. I have not added any chlorine or PH since I used this products. Amazing. Ordering two more to put on shelve. I am afraid the pool-boy-mafia will try to boycott this gadget as it puts them out of business. I had not needed to scrub the pool walls or vacuum the bottom. Its unbelievable. I added water and we had lots of rain. Did not affect the pool water at all as it usually did before. ... show more
