    • Container was broken but the tablets were in good shape.
The plastic container was broken and wrapped in plastic bags. The chlorine tablets were not broken. There was a lot of Chlorine dust loose in the shipping box. The shipping box was not damaged. The damages to the plastic container must have happened prior to shipping. The safety latch on the container is practically bulletproof. I’d prefer something simpler. Otherwise the product is good. I will order again as long as the tablets keep arriving unbroken. ... show more

They seem to dissolve slower making less need to fill the floater as often. Be careful when opening the container the chemical smell is very very strong and has quite a bit of dust/powder which definitely can affect someone with breathing problems such as myself.     • As Described-But Most Broken
The product is what it is, but the packaging leaves a lot to be desired if they are shipping this. I don't understand why they make the container so large that the tablets have so much room to move around in and get broken. Why not make a tube container for them? Or at least put bubble wrap or some sort of padding on the inside of the bucket? I just put one of the unbroken ones in my pool, so time will tell on the effectiveness. My pool has been filled for a week, with zero chemicals, just the pump running as I am still in the process of setting it up completely. The water is already clear, and we have a LOT of rain, and the pool does get sun for quite a bit of the day. Well, when it's not raining! I plan to test the chlorine levels in a day to see if these are effective and keep it at the safe level and clearness I want. For reference, I have an 8 foot stock tank pool and run the pump/filter 10 hours a day. Most with stock tank pools only run theirs a few hours a day, which I don't get, as I grew up with a pool, and ours actually ran 24 hours a day from the time we opened it in the Spring. So to sum it up, they arrive at least 25% broken, at least in my case, but smell strongly of chlorine, so I can't imagine they wouldn't work. ... show more

I needed a small amount of pucks while we wee gone for a week. I can’t trust the chlorine generator , we have a saltwater pool. So I loaded up a floater and filled it. Worked fine. I will buy another of these buckets when we go away again.
