  • A HUGE hit for Christmas!
The media could not be loaded. My kids are 5,7, and 9 and wanted one of these they saw in a Christmas catalog. It was more expensive and sold out. This one looked almost identical, and works great! I fill it with cheap party favors such as, mini rubber ducks, foam balls, small cars, etc. As long as it's light weight it will work. I have not tried easter eggs, but I see no reason why that wouldn't work. The only downside is the sound, it's way too loud! I have taped over all the slots where the sound comes from, and i make the kids place the machine on a yoga mat to help lower the sound even more. I can still hear it from the next room when the door is closed. The kids don't seem to mind and it makes them super happy. Edit 04/07/21: The machine has stood-up to fairly aggressive use; however, running 3 different motors, sounds, and lights causes this thing to become a bit of a battery hog. The Claw uses Qty. 3 D-Cell batteries, which helps prolong performance, but as the voltage drains the functions slow and the game becomes less entertaining. We have plenty of AA rechargeables that we could cycle through, but really have no other reason to have rechargeable D-Cells. Our solution was to bypass the batteries and directly connect a 5V power supply. The machine now needs an outlet to operate, but provides endless hours of playtime, with the upside that the kids no longer try and remove the machine from the playroom or pick it up and shake it. Would highly recommend a power supply or at least 2 sets of rechargeable batteries to rotate through. ... show more

  • Looking for an honest opinion about the Claw?
Prince dan here w another review and this time it's on The Electronic Claw Game. I have to say, I didn't expect this item to be so fun, and to receive it SO FAST, it's crazy. It arrived before the arrival date so that's a plus. The item came secure, however I did have some difficulty setting it up. First off, it's hard to remove the wire that's holding the claw in place. I had to remove it w tweezers and it took me a good ten minutes to do so, but eventually I got it. Then, there is a white wire that's sticks out when the claw machine moves around and when I would play it would get jammed against the slot you enter prizes in but nothing a little tape couldn't fix. I taped it against itself so that it wouldn't mess up. Have had it since sept 8, and it's still working till this day. I know it's only been a few weeks but maybe I'll post another review about it at a later time. For those wondering if you can use real money on it. Yes, you can. It's big enough to take in quarters so if you're looking to make some kind of profit off this, it's do-able. Does come w fake coins for those using it for fun. Haven't had major problems thus far, just minor that I've already explained. I'm sure if I have a problem w it, the owner wouldn't hesitate to exchange or refund, at least I hope. I'm loving this item and so are my family. Claw is very durable and holds items in place so it's very easy to win. However, make sure if you're the type to wanna make a profit off this that when the item falls through the slot that it lands in the slot area because if it falls out the slot opening, the player still gets to play again for a free second round. I don't know what is it but it just has to make that landing impact, but if you're just looking to buy this for fun then don't worry about this. This claw machine supports the use of 2-3 in toys so don't expect it to be huge. It's about a foot high. The handles have to be broken in. I thought I had broken it when I first used it, but don't worry. They have to make this pop sound because something inside is holding the handles in place I guess for shipping purposes so if you buy and it feels like the handle is stuck, just pull until it snaps inside so that you can fully utilize the handles. Hope this helps y'all. ... show more

  • Very Fun and Entertaining Machine... With Some Modifications.
This is a very fun little toy, and you can easily waste a lot of time playing with it, but only after you have made a few modifications. Firstly, the internal speaker is insanely and annoyingly loud. I solved this problem by opening the bottom of the machine and adding a small switch (see photos) to turn off the speaker when I don’t want to hear the music for 15 minutes solid. Secondly, the claw has a hard time picking up some things and this is mostly due to the fact that it has no grip on the ends of the claw prongs. This is solved by a single dip into some Plasti Dip (see photos) that you can pick up at a hardware store for a few bucks. This effectively solved any issue with it picking up just about anything. I initially feared that some things would be too heavy, but I’ve even managed to pick up a Cadbury egg (see photo) with it that I couldn’t before I Plasti Dipped the claw prongs. I’ve also been able to pick up small plush items and fun size candy bars that I couldn’t before. Overall, this is a fun little machine and it can be made into a better one with a couple of inexpensive modifications. I can not attest to its durability, but so far it’s working like a champ. I will update my review in the future if the machine fails, for any reason. I gave it four stars because of the changes I had to make to fix its biggest issues, but now it’s an awesome little machine. Hope this helps any of you out there who might be on the fence about purchasing one of these. *Update I have seen several people asking if this machine will accept real coins, and the answer is yes! Quarters work the best, but any denomination will fit with the exception of a half dollar. Real coins work better in the machine than the plastic ones that it came with, which tend to get stuck. ... show more
