Features

  • High Resolution Cinematic Digital Film Sensor: The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro uses a large Super 35 sensor with 6144 x 3456 native resolution that allows shooting with a shallow depth of field and anamorphic lenses. Whether youre shooting in bright sunlight or in almost no light at all, the 13 stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO up to 25,600 provide stunning low noise images in all lighting conditions
  • Built in ND Filters: The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro features high-quality, motorized IR ND filters that let you quickly reduce the amount of light entering the camera. The 2, 4 and 6 stop filters have been designed to filter both optical and IR wavelengths evenly, eliminating IR contamination of the images
  • Dual Gain ISO for Exceptional Low Light Performance: The 6K Pro camera features dual gain ISO up to 25,600, which means its optimized to minimize grain or noise in images, while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. The native ISO of 400 is ideal for scenes with on-set lighting. The secondary high base ISO of 3200 is perfect when shooting in dimly lit environments
  • Shoot Still Frames up to 21.2MP: In addition to shooting video, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can capture high resolution stills. Simply press the dedicated stills button to record 21.2-megapixel images. Still images are saved as fully uncompressed DNG frames, so you get the maximum image quality, which is perfect for making professional prints
  • Storage and Recording: The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera features built in CFast and SD UHS-II card recorders, and a high-speed USB-C Expansion Port for recording direct to an external media disk. You can use regular SD cards for HD or higher performance UHS-II and CFast cards for native 4K or 6K when using Blackmagic RAW

  • Game changing Camera for aspiring and growing filmmakers
I purchased this as I got more work for freelance videography due to COVID and I have 0 regrets about my purchase. This camera was a learning curve to use coming from a Sony a7siii, but the difference is incredible and streamlined for video. The image quality is always remarkable and it's been an awesome journey playing with different lenses and experiencing the vast difference in RAW codecs vs the h264 one on Sony cameras. The battery life is an issue and you do need to rig this camera up. In retrospect I probably would choose a v-mount and will probably upgrade to that in the future over using NFP batteries. The built-in NDs are a game changer and some in clutch. The ergonomic functionality of WB, ISO, and shutter speed buttons makes this camera really intuitive and easy to use. Overall no regrets. For those serious about film making and want to improve the quality of their work, this is the best alternative on the market now. ... show more

  • Best video camera value today
I couldn't decide between this or the Sony FX3 so I bought both. While the Sony does better in low light and doesn't have the BM crop factor, head to head in normal light theses cameras are in different leagues. The BM has a shimmery pristine video image that quite frankly is as good as anyone needs. It's flat out gorgeous. The BRAW files load and render quickly in Resolve and you can edit them until they're virtually perfect. If you don't need auto focus and you can live with the 1.55 crop factor this is an amazing camera for the price. For any price. ... show more

  • Blue tint on screen
I loved my BMPCC 6K and needed a 2nd one. I decided on the Pro version since the price wasn't much different. It turns out most of the on camera screens have a color tint that makes them very far from accurate. Since I film everything in Blackmagic RAW if my color is off a bit I can fix that. The color shift doesn't effect the footage or the video out over HDMI so it's just the LCD screen on the camera. I almost sent it back but it looks like it's just a roll of the dice if I get another one with this issue. Blackmagic said they are working on a firmware update that will fix this issue. I'm gonna wait and see. ... show more

  • Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K Pro counterfeit and would not power on be careful
Would not power on nor would the 12v adapter power it and when it it was a blank screen? No welcome screen, no registration notifications…etc it just truly seemed cheap to me and did not work, did not power up I had to remove and insert battery to get it to power on? I am in film school and actively working with multiple camera workflows, I use Blackmagic 3-4 days a week it definitely does not feel like a Blackmagic so to be safe I am returning after picking up 8 hours later I returned for a refund ... show more
