Overall very happy with the machine. Simple, compact design and easy to install out of the box. In my case, the dedicated vacuum line in my pool achieves minimal suction for this device - so it does not climb the walls. The box comes with a spring loaded device to test the suction where you plan to plug in the vacuum. If it shows minimum suction, don't expect it to climb walls. What's not to like about this pool cleaner. It works great and does a great job cleaning. My pool person said that this is the best, at a popular selling point. Stop looking and just purchase if you want a pool cleaner.

this one replaced my old one…probably 20 years old and refurbished multiple times. I had some problems first with this one but then adjusted the setting from I to II and now it effortless comes up from the deep into the shallow part and when he hits a corner or the wall he turns after a while and keeps on going. One thing though….in the manual they say to connect the leaf canister between the first and seconds part of the hose from the front ( there is a drawing) but that did not work for he at all. I have it connected to the second at the end and everything is fine. In my book I call this modell BUSY 🐝. ... show more

I had a Hayward Navigator for 12 years and it worked great. Maintained it myself and rebuilt it with new parts a couple times before it just wore out. Bought a new one and used it for a couple weeks after Hurricane Ian caused us much damage. With no cage over our pool, I stopped trying to use it because of all the leaf litter. After a year and a half, we finally got our house and pool back in order and put the Navigator back in the water. It goes only in tight circles. I stripped it to the last screw, cleaned it, bought it a new gearbox, etc, etc and it still won't work right. I've noticed that the screws holding the part with the turbine have to be fairly loose or the turbine will bind and I suspect that it's the same issue with the valve on top of the gearbox. I've also noticed that Hayward's address has changed since I bought the first one, so it may be that they are farming the new models out. Anyway, this was money wasted and I'm looking for a new pool cleaner... ... show more

I researched and researched pool vacuums, some 100s of $, but most were 1k plus. That being said, this pool vacuum is priced nicely and works great! Came well packaged, with clear instructions. She moves slowly but my pool looks great.

I went through like 4 other pool cleaners before landing on this one. Its been a long time coming, and I'm so happy my search is finally over. I ordered this on September 16, 2023, so its coming up on a year and I've had 0 problems with this. I had used the suction ones that skim the bottom of the floor, to the zodiac ones with monster truck wheels that climb up the walls. Each one with their own challenges for my pool. I have two trees in the backyard and my neighbors have big trees so its quite common to get leaves in my pool. The skimmer gets most of it but I needed something that would suck up small/regular sized leaves. The thing I love about this model is that you can adjust the sensitivity to make it climb walls or not. I have it set to not climb as I've had issues with other cleaners climbing out of the water (which caused $$$ repair/replacement to my pool pump!). This cleaner glides around the bottom of my pool, it eats up leaves and keeps the floor looking clean. It doesn't get stuck, the suction is great, and lastly... sometimes it eats a seed or something from my palm trees and that stops the suction. On the bottom there is a small screw that you can unscrew to clean out anything that is blocking suction. I love this thing!! ... show more

The Hayward Pool Robot is very simple to set up and use. It carefully covers the entire bottom of the pool. Its light weight design and small size enable it to get in and out quickly. Storage is easy too. It fits anywhere out of site. Great little cleaner for my small pool.
