I recently purchased the Automatic Port Chicken Feeder and Cup Waterer Set, and it's been a great addition to my chicken setup. The feeder and waterer are both durable and user-friendly, making chicken care a bit easier. My chickens have taken to it well, and it's fantastic to see less waste with the feeder’s design. The feeder, with its three ports, and the waterer, with four cups, offer ample feeding and watering options. The feeder needs to be refilled only once or twice a week, depending on your flock size, which is very convenient. We mounted ours on a small curb using the provided brackets, but it can be easily hung in other suitable locations. One thing to keep in mind is that the waterer’s cups need regular cleaning—every few days or so—to keep things hygienic. The instructions suggest adding a piece of copper to the waterer to help keep the water clean, and that tip has proven useful. A piece from a local home improvement store did the trick perfectly. The set also includes a xylophone, which I initially thought my chickens would enjoy. However, they haven’t shown any interest in it so far.     • Chickens are spoiled now!
Works awesome. We are just getting started with seven feathered dwarves, and after building the very swanky coop, I felt silly purchasing a feed/water kit when there are DIY options. We are pretty handy. But the chickens were here, delivery was promised lickity split, so we hit the Buy Now button. It’s great. I don’t feel like we paid a bunch for plastic. We did. That’s true. But it works just fine once the chickens get the hang of it. The sign and the xylophone are fun, though they haven’t pecked a tune yet. Be careful with the plastic assembly, it instructs you to crank it down, but you will strip threads. I just went enough to compress the washers and everything is just fine, no leaks. Would recommend. ALSO, appreciate the rectangle rather than a round bucket to save space, and it will mount to a wall or inside the coop. ... show more

    • Only lasted 6 months
Worked great for only 6 months. Capacity was great while it lasted but the plastic interior pieces that keep food from falling out have broken down and mice were able to chew through the plastic easily.

    • Good for growing chicks…too small for the big peeps
These have been a good “intermediate” size for our chicks who had outgrown the brooder and chick sized feeder and waterer, and a good training step to get them ready for transitioning into the run with the “old girls”. These don’t hold much, so do require frequent filling. I have 11 6-8week old BCMs, and have had to fill every other day. I placed both on stands to help reduce waste and dirty water cups, but once they are about half empty, they tip easily. I do recommend the stand concept, and I don’t think the half filled feeder/waterer would be heavy enough to cause much damage if it did fall on one of the junior peeps at their size and age, but I plan to secure it to a wall or fence with the next batch. A simple, snug bungee cord will quickly do the trick. The lids do stay on well, and while a peep does occasionally perch and poo, for the most part it has discouraged…lingering. 🥴 I think they will clean up well, and easily, and since I use the same cups and feed ports on much larger containers in the main run, it will be quite easy for the chicks to transition soon. ... show more
