I'm 33 and have ALWAYS wanted blue hair. It's my favorite color and I've always thought it would be absolutely stunning, but I've always been too nervous to try it. I finally caved, and researched all kinds of hair dye to pull this off. I tried a lot of top brands before, and with other colors I got decent results... but with blue I was nervous that it would come out green. Although my husband would've loved that as that's his favorite color, green was not what I was aiming for. I love Brad Mondo and have always enjoyed his videos and vast knowledge on hair, and decided if anyone was going to help me achieve this, it would be him. I'm so glad I gave this product a chance! Not only did it give my front and back pieces this gorgeous royal blue, it also turned my untouched virgin brown hair this stunning midnight blue color. It looks black, but in natural lighting gives off "night sky" vibes. I also want to note: it did not dye my tub or myself blue! There was a LITTLE residential blue on my skin that I took off with nail polish remover (don't come at me. Lol). In the past I have had horrible luck dying my sink or tub on accident. This didn't leave any stain at all. The dye is also thick, like a leave in conditioner. So it didn't drip all over the place like other dyes in the past. So my hair was super dull no shine left (I like bright colors and have nearly black hair so lots of damage to get it light enough to do brights) I decided to go red.(after being pink and purple) used a high lift red it turned out ok but was super dull no shine looked terrible. I follow Brad Mondo and decided finally to try his products. Ordered his fire red and super gloss. Was so excited to try it I put in in my hair before work (didn’t get to leave it in very long due to having to get read for work.. red was in maybe 15 min and gloss maybe 10) y’all my hair is so bright so shiny and smells amazing!!! I've purchased this in two colors, amber and amethyst. I love them both. This product is so easy to work with and the results are really pretty. I have light brown hair, with some blonde highlights (about 7-8 on that chart), and these colors look great. I never used anything like this before, just winged it, and I am so happy with the results. I've applied it about 4 times over the months, tweaking as I go along. I have used several different color conditioners, and this one seems to be the best by far. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because it bleeds for a while after washing my hair out. This has caused some issues with keeping the shower walls and floor clear of a colored tint and constant upkeep. However, regarding the actual color and vibrancy in my hair afterward, the smell, texture, and ease of application, I love it all and would not change a thing. I originally used the garnet color about a month ago, and it gave me a rich, beautiful color. With summer here, I wanted to go lighter, so I got the berry one. Since my hair was already on the red side, it did not give me the anticipated berry color. However, since I had lightened the front and center strips of my hair previously, I got the berry color I was hoping for. You can kind of see it in the photo—the front, straighter piece of hair is a bit lighter than the rest of the darker red color. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it has a more purple undertone than the photo shows. I love this product, and it's vegan, which I very much appreciate. Also, I only wash my hair about two times per week and I only have to use this product to recolor my hair every couple weeks. Sure it fades a little, but not like a semi-permanent dye might. This stays in your hair much longer with similar vibrancies depending on your hair type. ... show more

I've been watching XMONDO on you tube for years. I've always been tempted to buy the Hair Dye, but never quite managed to purchase it. I took my teenage daughter to get her hair done (cut and color) and it was great, but the color came out so quickly. I decided that this was the perfect time to purchase the XMONDO hair dye and I did! It was great! It was everything he said in the videos. It smelled good, it was so easy to apply and the color looks gorgeous. It was so good that my oldest daughter also purchased one (blue-purple shift) and she loved it. I bought this product because I didn’t want to damage my hair any further. My hair looks healthier and the color is great. Best part is I can change up colors when I want. Down fall is I have long hair and it took most of the product to achieve the look I wanted.

I really wanted to like this product, but I am not happy with my purchase. My hair was pre-lightened and did have some (very) faded orange semi-permanent color over it. I wanted to cover the faded orange with something darker, and so I chose what looked like a deep magenta shade from this line. My hair is only about shoulder length, barely. I used half the tub and left it in for 30 minutes before rinsing it out. When it was dry I saw the color did not cover the orange at all, instead it became a hideous muddy mess- almost brown. I used the whole other half of the tub the next morning and it seemed to do the trick. Except that result lasted exactly one shampoo a few days later. Now it’s back to weird muddy brown color. I understand that this is a color depositing conditioner and is meant to wash out, but I’ve used many other brands in the past (manic panic, punky color, overtone, hell- even splat lasts longer) that have all lasted weeks before any noticeable fading. This is not the first time I have had unsatisfactory results from Brad’s products. I’m convinced at this point that it’s all garbage and he is just a really good salesman. Gonna go get some manic panic to help fix this mess. If you’re in the market for semi-permanent color, I urge you to try any other brand. ... show more
