I like how convenient the container is--I just scooped hair dye out and massaged it directly into my hair. And fortunately, one container of dye will last me a long time. I dyed the underside of my hair (which had been prebleached to level 8-9 and dyed pastel purple and pink, previously) and didn't need much for application, as shown by what's leftover. I will also include a picture of my hair before so you can see what I applied the super purple to, and how it looked after. Note that I used a lunar tides neon dragonfruit on the ends, although I did consider that XMondo's rhodalite could look similar (just didn't need that much dye for the ends, and continued using a smaller quantity from a different brand). My initial impression was that it smelt like a dusty, slightly floral soap. I'd also been dying my hair the last 2 months with arctic fox and lunar tides, and comparatively, I found XMondo's fragrance a little less in your face. Which i appreciated, as someone with asthma. Still for me personally, I don't like the smell much. I decided to try XMondo's hair dye because I heard tell tale that it doesnt stain surfaces (I live in a college dorm, and am crazy enough to dye my hair there. So def wanna reduce risk of staining). The shade of purple also attracted me, as well as the repairing and bond boosting ability of the product. Fortunately, the shower didnt need much cleanup, and as long as you're careful you can avoid staining your skin or other surfaces. I didn't personally notice a big difference in my hairs health (it was a little smoother maybe) but I did only dye a small portion of my hair if thats relevent, so it would probably be hard for me to tell. Normally I use Artic Fox. But it hasn't been lasting more than 2 to 3 washes lately. I'm 2 months in with this color and it's holding strong! I purposely waited to write my review to see how long it would last, and I am thoroughly impressed. A lot of comments mentioned staining, and I honestly had no issues with that. Came right off of everything I dripped it on, and was actually WAY less messy than what I normally use. Will definitely buy again, if I ever run out. A little bit goes a long way. I'll be able to use this another 2-3 times before I'll need another container. (And my hair goes pass my waist.) ... show more

As you can see the Garnet hair mask came unopened, as it had plastic around it. The super gloss I also ordered had no plastic and no lid lock sticker and was opened in my box. Luckily I salvage most that spilled and cleaned up the outside of the container. That is why I gave a 4 out of 5 stars, was poor packaging. Otherwise I'd have given the products themselves 5 stars. I mean check my results, I did the super gloss at my roots, as I did not want to color them. Then I used the Garnet on the rest of my hair. I had already had a previous box dye of red in my hair that was fadeded orange. Looks good and smells good. ... show more

My husband took one look at me and said my hair is "super purple," not knowing that is actually what the color is called. 2 years ago I had balayage highlights put in the bottom part of my hair with purple hair dye deposited onto all of my hair. Since then, whenever the color would fade or my roots would show, I would use purple demi permanent or semi permanent hair color on my whole head of hair. As you can see this dye made even my brown colored hair purple. It smells like either an expensive conditioner or a man's cologne. There was enough left over to do my hair a second time. It's a very thick consistency. It feels like a thick conditioner going on. My hair was soft and smelled great after I was finished coloring it. Also it made my hair shine whereas other dyes left my hair shineless and matte. Highly recommend. ... show more

The first two photos are the before. I didn't start with freshly bleached hair. The third photo is what the color looked like in the container. It smells nice, reminds me of something my grandma used to wear from Avon. [Core memory unlocked] The fourth picture is after application. This product goes far. I have curly hair down my upper back, just past the base of my shoulder blades and I was able to color my whole head twice and have a bit left over for touch ups. (Who out there uses a bit of color mixed with their conditioner for weekly quickie touch ups.) The final two pictures are the finished product, freshly dried. Personally, I see the color as more berry than amethyst. It is too pink-y for my taste, I prefer a bluer based purple and based on the photos in the product description I thought that's what I was getting. I feel a bit bamboozled in the color department. The quality of the dye is decent, it covers and saturates well. My hair is soft and happy. I will admit that I washed it more often than I normally do and with warmer water than I usually use with fashion colors so it did fade pretty fast the first time. The second time I used it, about a month later, I mixed it with some blue Iroiro and Genie Unicorn hair to mellow out the pinkish hue the lighter colored hair faded into. Overall I love Brad's product, it just didn't quite do what I wanted it to and or thought it would. I may try the super purple in the future but it's just so expensive. I can get approximately the same results by mixing Unicorn hair with purple Iroiro and have enough to do my hair 3 to 4 times for the same price. Not everyone's hair is the same. He had previously bleached curls with black roots and the product did exactly what we wanted it to. It left the black alone and colored the bleached hair. I applied it to the roots but it didn’t even tint the color any different. I would definitely not recommend this product for black or dark brown hair, but for the lightened hair it worked great. Easy to apply. I watched videos before and it said this could be left on longer than the directions so we left it on for about 45 minutes rather than the 20 indicated. ... show more
