I purchased this in Sapphire here because it was sold out on the brand website. This stuff is really pigmented so it turned out great on me when I used it to refresh salon blue dye (Pravana brand) that had faded to a light turquoise color. The scent is more sophisticated than some of the other brands of direct dye and it has bond builders already added which makes it feel more like a salon treatment mask. I also liked that the texture is on the thicker end because this reduces the mess that using bright colored dye will inevitably make when trying to do your hair. The type of container is also a huge plus because it allows you to get to all the product without having to either waste the last of it or cut the container open to reach it. The price is about equal to other brands because this one comes with double the amount that the small containers of other bands hold. The only negative I could find is that some of the colors are out of stock alot so if you find something you like and want to touch up with it, there is a possibility that you won't be able to get that particular color. ... show more

As you can see by my pictures, I was a fuchsia (Radiant Orchid by Ion) color to begin with, (which was bleached to pale blonde to begin with) and it was too pink for me. I didn't want to add more chemical treatment to my hair since I have it really healthy so thought I'd give this a try. Simple as putting a deep conditioner on your hair! It worked in my favor that some pieces are slightly lighter, giving it a highlighted look to it. So the Pros to it are: 1. Easy to use, just apply to clean, DRY hair and let it sit for 20 minutes. 2. Color, for me, maintained about 10 days before I noticed any fading from washing it. I washed it 3 times in that period for reference. 3. Smells good! 4. Color is rich and vibrant. 5. Made my hair super soft! Cons: 1. It will stain! Almost everything! I used gloves, and rinsed in our stainless steel kitchen because that's one place it didn't stain. 2. Since shower is plastic, I can not wet my hair in shower. So in order to maintain my color, I have to put shower cap on in shower and wash my hair in the kitchen sink. (But I will say, I love the color so much it's worth it to me.) So, in my book is worth the price, and works amazing! ... show more

So I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars through out the past year trying to get a grey/silver look through my stylists. The first time I went in is when it turned out the best but she didn’t process all of my hair because she didn’t think I would stick with it. Then re-upping it she kept getting it darker which is okay but not what I was going for. Then trying to bring it back a bunch of black strands were bleached & turned them bright red! I absolutely hated it and basically gave up for awhile. But still hating the red and not knowing how to fix it, I went in one more time to see if it could be eliminated but was again left disappointed and still with bright red chunks in my hair. I found this mask and am so stoked by how it toned out the red and the grey tone throughout! TLDR; Crazy bleed not worth the beautiful color, I recommend Lime Crime Unicorn Hair that I've been using for years with no issue. I love changing my color after getting it blonde, and this dye has gorgeousss color pay off, but it does bleed like crazyyy! To the point that I couldn't paint my nails for at least a month because it would stain so badly when I washed my hair (2-3 times a week). The color on my towels washed out (not white though) and same for my pillowcases, but it does bleed A LOT. My nails peeved me and I was scared to get my hair wet when it rained, so will not repurchase. ... show more

This was super easy to apply, i got some hair dye brushes and did my sections. Brad mondo would be proud. It smells lovely, and bleach got the stains in the shower up no problem and the stains on my skin washed off with a hot shower. My daughter wanted blue hair sooo bad but I wasn’t about to bleach her hair and dye it. I wasn’t torn between which color depositor to use and thought why not. Y’all. THIS COLOR IS GORGEOUS! We didn’t do anything to her hair prior, in the first picture you can see she has like a dirty blonde more brunette hair color. I just applied it to her and I let her sit with it for about 30 minutes (directions say 20). I need to do another cold water watch to get her scalp better but love it. It does stain the skin but after a couple washes it comes off. 11/10 recommend ... show more
