  • Great smoker grill
Style: DAPG-03
I have just started smoking meat using charcoal and wood. The worst part is babysitting smoker so I researched options and landed on pellet smoker. Seems to be most convenient but complaints were not enough smoke taste. Was very anxious about a Boston butt which is a 10 to 12 hour smoke because of other things I needed to do. I was pleasantly surprised when temps held very closely to set temperature, I'm used to 50 to 75 degree temp swings. Worked flawlessly, very impressed. Looked at all smokers and brands before I stumbled on this one. Not well known name to me but the reviews were very high so I decided to go with it because of price since I'm not familiar with pellet grills. I would think it would be hard to beat this smoker for double the price. The readout is very bright and bold. I decided it seems to run itself so I would mow yard. Kept driving by to check temps and could see temp from very good distance. Well I have only used it a few times because I just got it after only 3 days after my order. Easy to put together, screwdriver only. No brainer. I did add some felt gasket around door and put a bungee on handle to hold it closed tight only because I didn't like smoke coming out the front in my face. Has holes in back for ventilation. Also it is so easy to clean. You can wrap the drip pan/heat shield with heavy duty foil and wipe off when removed. I noticed there is a lot of dust in bottom where ashes blow around due to fan blowing. I'm sure they all do that but there is plenty of room under heat shield so I am going to try a pan of water under it to see if it will capture most of it and will add moisture to chamber if nothing else. This is truly a modern marvel. P.S. I have heard you can't get the bark and taste of a wood fired smoker but check out picture of bark on that butt. I did use a smoker tube inside. I suggest a tube or wood chip box for added smoke if needed. We'll made and total value for money. I like the size. Didn't need a large unit. Some said it was too short but didn't seem to be a problem for me. Hard to please everyone I guess. ... show more

  • The little smoker that could
Style: DAPG-03
The little smoker that could. For the price this is one of the best smokers out there. Some facts; it is a small box but you can fit three racks of ribs with the top shelf that hold over a dozen wings. Controls and temp work consistently without issue. It does sit a little lower to the ground which I knew ahead of time and honestly isn’t uncomfortable to cook on. Easy to clean. Love this little guy! ... show more

  • Meh
Style: HWPG-305C
For a small smoker the size is alright for us. We are cooking for 3-4 people so that isn’t an issue and was expected. However, the temp settings are set. Which means if your recipe calls for 200 degrees you have to pick 180 or 225, no in-between… second thing I have an issue with is the thermometer it comes with is inconvenient, you have to hold the button to see it and it just flashes for a second and then goes back to setting temp and it doesn’t let you know when your food hits the temp. So babysitting when it’s close is a pain. We ended up just using an external thermometer which has an alarm. For a smoker I expected more. The assembly was easy and instructions were simple. My overall experience was meh. If you decide to get it buy the one with the cover and no thermometer. ... show more

  • Works 💪 perfect
Style: DAPG-03 W Cover
Works excellent.. it is small.. I'd buy the next larger model.. it would fit 2 racks of ribs.. or 2 pork butts...

  • I love the wood heat
Style: DA-03 W Cover
First thing I noticed after cooking on this gril... There is no lighter fluid or charcoal taste in my food. I am still getting used to the workings of the grill, but I am happily impressed with the build quality of this grill. It is easy to move with a handle on each end and rubber type tires on one end. My first use of the grill was at 9 degrees outside temp. It fired right up and worked fabulously throughout the smoking and grilling cycles that I used. I am looking forward to a lil warmer weather before my next grill session. I would definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Did not come come complete = useless!
Style: DAPG-03 W Cover
This was ordered because we were needing a new smoker and wanted smoked pork for Super Bowl. Much to our amazement, a vital piece was missing. So, the seller was notified and weeks later and still nothing. The smoker sits absolutely useless. I will never support this brand and seller again. So disappointing. ... show more

  • Great little smoker for the money
Style: HWPG-305C
Bought it for my folks for Christmas Assembly was easy, although it’s a very heavy box. My parents love it. They don’t entertain big crowds, though, so it’s for their use only. If your trying to make enough food for a big crowd, you might need two of these lol

  • Some issues out of the box, but some fiddling got it going.
Style: DAPG-03
This could go up or down. Out of the box, assembly good. Fit together nice. Quality was better than I expected. Ready to fire it up and, wah wah, auger won't turn. Following the manual, you can swap the fan connector with the auger motor. Still doesn't spin, book says bad motor. I have skills, so I check the voltage at the connector, it's good so bad motor. Take motor/auger assembly out fiddle with it a bit, plug it in out of the assembly and it spins. I'm guessing it was jammed or something. It has an extreme worm gear, you can't spin the auger by hand to see if it's free. So if you are worried about a jam you have to take it apart. So after that it seems to be working nicely. It looks nice at least. ... show more
