This security device is such an ingenious design and very easy to use but highly effective at keeping thieves from stealing your vehicle. I used to use the Club device but it would not fit my new vehicle, so I was always worried when having to leave my truck parked in public for any extended period of time. This steering wheel lock device is very easy to use and locks into the seat belt latch securely. It is easy to remove with the included key which comes with 3 of them so you can have spares. The cable is thick 5mm braided steel with a pvc coating on it so it won't scratch the steering wheel and the end that locks into the seat belt is very hard thick plastic. The one I received has a yellow fabric sleeve over the cable so it can be seen from outside the vehicle to help deter thieves before even breaking into the car. This is a quality made product that I highly recommend to everyone else especially at the low price to get and use as a theft deterrent. ... show more

I like this lock. At first I had a steering wheel lock that you had to enter your 5 digit code by moving the metal numbers. The old one seemed more durable, but it was too inconvenient. The reason I like this new one better is because it’s much simpler to just turn the key and unlock your car. It is a lot thinner and doesnt seem to be the most durable, but it works as a deterrent at the very least. ... show more

    • A little extra peace of mind for just a few bucks

This cable is easy to attach and release, even in the dark. It is less obvious than the club, but hopefully obvious enough that someone would see it before breaking a window or otherwise damaging the car. It seems secure and would be difficult to defeat quickly or quietly. No deterrent is foolproof; my goal is to make them not want to bother. It doesn't take up much space when not in use. The keys are bulky and not easy to put on a key chain without a jump ring. I'd prefer a more typical key with less plastic. Car theft has increased dramatically in my area, and probably in yours too. Two of my friends had their cars stolen last year. My key fob was recently stolen, along with my purse, and I was worried someone would figure out my address and steal the car. Fortunately, they didn't (and they're in jail now, which makes me very happy!) This is a low-cost deterrent, and hopefully it's effective as well!
