The installation is as easy as the demo video shows. Besides the Lock-Unlock-Lock function to start the vehicle the same sequence stops the engine if so desired. What is not mentioned in the description is that the engine will automatically stop after 15 minutes if no other action is taken. That info is at the end of the instruction pamphlet that comes along with the Start-X remote starter. edit: Verified.     • Quite easy to install. 2022 F150 XL
Just installed this in literally 10mins in my apartment parking lot. Instructions were super easy to follow and it really is plug and play. Only tool I used was a 10mm socket and ratchet which is needed for the ground wire. After programming and hitting lock unlock then lock truck started right up in 5 seconds. Ford pass is nice to start the truck but I wanted a key fob option and this uses the original ford fob which is perfect. Don't know the long term use performance or if this might drain the battery over time but it would be so easy to remove I'm not too worried. If you've got an xl or don't have remote start definitely get this, I do think its a bit overpriced but definitely cheaper than the dealership. ... show more

My 2023 Ford 150 did not come with remote start and I was spoiled by having it on my previous vehicles. This was simple to install and works great. I’d highly recommend!
