The camera/door bell works great. The picture quality is 95 out of 100. My guess is the subscription type units have a better lens? The micro-sd memory card is easy to install and retains a lot of memory. The on-line and written steps to synch the MUBVIEW Wireless Doorbell Camera to your cell phone is a bit wonky. My son had to assist me with it, I'm old, 62 a boomer, LOL. I had an incident outside my home about a month ago with some misbehaving teenagers with no respect for one's property. Now in the future I will be able to record any potential future events for the authorities to review. Did I want to install a security camera/doorbell?     • Great price and a great alternative to the much more expensive name brands
This doorbell / camera works great. Unlike some of the more expensive ones, this one actually comes with the doorbell that rings inside the house. I also like that you don't need to subscribe to a monthly service at all unless you want it to keep your videos for more than just the previous 7 days. But I don't see any need to save them any longer so I will stay with the free option. Likewise you could also insert an SD memory card to store video on locally. The battery life is very good, super easy to install and set up, the viewing angle, sensitivity and features of this camera rival some of the more expensive ones. First, I would like to begin off with saying this item isn't as bad as other say it might be. I actually think it a good item with a fair price to have outside of the house for safety and just for a doorbell. You would think this item isn't going to be as good as the ringer company but, I was totally wrong. I order two camera from the company, one for the back and one for the front. When, I open there it was as describe in the description came with everything that was necessary. Wireless as it can be, easy to install it only took like 10 min max for each camera. So overall, for the setting up the good review was right. The only cons, I have isn't the motion detection because, I though it wasn't actually that bad cause, it was to sensitive or to little you know I mean. The only down part was, setting up the alarm when the camera get pulled off of the mount, it took awhile to figure out how to make the sound go off and on because, there wasn't a instruction on that but, manage to figure it out. Additionally, with this pairing it with the other device seem to be a different instruction that wasn't sent to us or it just didn't come with it so we wasn't sure how to pair them up except play around with it, not sure what the point of the Chime Setting if it doesn't pair. Hope to figure that out soon. The other con, I have was that one of the device alarm sound was more quieter then the other one, we though it was because, the sound management was turn on to quiet but, turns out it wasn't that because, it was at 100% and still very quiet. Which most likely, mean if a burgherly came we won't even notice it was gone until we received a notification on our phone or nevertheless they would just cover the sound. But, overall with these cons the product is a very good installment to the doorbell and camera view. One more thing is the service for help is very nice. Easy installation, great picture quality and battery life. After functioning for over 3 weeks I removed to charge but during charging unit went dead. Contacted CS spoke with NICA she was great and very responsive. unfortunately camera never came back on. I was refunded my money. I still bought another Mubview. ... show more

I wanted a doorbell camera that was battery operated, had the ability to use a sim card for data storage and wasn't huge and obtrusive when installed. And I found all of these things when I purchased this Mubview wireless doorbell camera. It was super easy to install and sinc up to my I-Phone. I placed it under my front door porch about 10" away from my door handle as you can see in the attached photo. Due to it's fairly wide angle lens it's in a perfect location for me to see anyone that stands in front of my door and even when they're off to the side as well. Customizing the settings to your preference is also easy peasy. I can set the motion detection sensitivity anywhere I want as it can be adjusted on a scale of 1-5. So even though I'm facing a street that's around 40' in front of my house, I can set the motion detection sensitivity up to level 4 to trigger when vehicles go by or I can set it lower to level 3 so vehicles aren't triggering the alarm. Looking at alarms that came through in the middle of the night is simple by just going to my history on the cameras app where I can either manually scroll through the alarm times or the app will scroll forward through these alarm triggers for me. The night vision is in black and white but very clear and I'm happy with it. One of my concerns was how long the battery would last, especially living in the north where it's cold. I've had the camera installed around 3 weeks now and my battery says it's at 50%. With the cold temps we've had, sometimes below zero for a few days and then back to the 30's and 40's I am super pleased, especially knowing that I've been taxing the battery more than I will normally by playing around with it and having fun. The length of the videos taken is also customizable at 10, 20 or 30 seconds. I set mine to 20 seconds and wondered if that longer time would deplete my battery sooner, so it may but my battery is in great shape as described above so I'll be leaving it at 20 for now. I look at reviews a lot to figure out what I'm going to buy and I don't leave reviews very often, though I should. In saying that I felt that folks should know that my experience with the Mubview camera has been excellent thus far and I'm really glad I made this purchase,. There's a lot more great features that I haven't addressed but then this review would go on forever. So I'm giving it two thumbs up to all of you who are looking for a decent reliable easy to use full featured doorbell camera. Ta Da! ... show more
