Purchased this doorbell because of many reasons. First off, it is rechargeable and easy to install without wiring, next you don’t need to pay for a service to monitor, you just put in an SD card to store all of your incidences. The picture is clear and it also has the inside control for answering calls etc, which had never worked since I got it. So after having the unit for six months and trying to get the inside piece working, decided to write to the company to see what could be done. They immediately got in contact with me and apologized and sent me a whole new unit. So if you are checking into a doorbell camera, I’m telling you won’t go wrong with this one. Night vision is great, picture is crystal clear. It was really easy to install however you only get one set of "sticky" strip things so if you move you're SOL. I've had it installed almost a year and the sticky strips are still holding strong with no give. I only have to charge it maybe once a month. The motion sensor is kind of wonky. Wind can set it up but my idiot neighbors can stand in front of my door for 5 minutes before it alerts me. This isnt' always the case but it does happen. I'm not complaining considering the price compared to something like RING. The app is absolute garbage though. It takes up so much processor on your device that it can drag it down and cause you to have to reboot semi frequently. I thought maybe it was just my phone so I took it in to have it looked at and the tech said it was the app and the way it forcefully runs in the background unlike other similar apps, like RING. I deal with it by rebooting my phone every couple of days and it works great again. You do not need the service with this item, it will work through wifi and send you a picture of people at your front door or call you if they ring the bell. The call/doorbell ring can sometimes lag by quite a bit but taking into account how cheap this item is, it's a trade off. You can put a memory card in the camera for video but the still pics are enough for me. ... show more
