I recently installed the Wyze Video Doorbell v2, and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. Here are my thoughts: Installation and Setup: The installation process was straightforward. I wired it up using the existing doorbell wires, and the included angle bracket allowed me to position it perfectly. No fuss, no hassle. Image Quality: The 2K video quality is impressive. I can clearly see everything I need, including packages left near the door. The wide-angle view ensures I never miss a thing. Night Vision: Wyze has nailed color night vision. It’s almost magical how well it works. Even in low light, the clarity is outstanding. No Subscription Fee: Unlike some other brands, Wyze doesn’t require a monthly subscription for continuous recording. Just pop in your own micro SD card, and you’re good to go. Voice Quality and Latency: The two-way audio works well, although it records only the person at the door, not my responses through the app. That’s a minor gripe. Smart Features: Wyze offers plenty of free nerdy options, and you can unlock more with a subscription. Nothing essential is behind a paywall. Chime Delay: The only drawback is the slight delay when ringing the doorbell. It’s connected wirelessly to the adapter, which then triggers the chime. Not a deal-breaker, but worth considering. Overall, I’d give the Wyze Video Doorbell v2 an A. It’s a fantastic product with a few minor quirks. Easy to Install,clear image, I love that when someone touches the doorbell it records them for a few seconds. I love that I can view it all in one app with my other cams. The only downside is that if you unplug the base in the house, it will no longer connect to your phone, but that is user error not really a downfall. I had a different cam doorbell before and it didnt require any base... but it was worse quality and didnt get a good connection to the wifi, so that is the tradeoff. ... show more

I had a ring doorbell for many years. It was still working but the lens had clouded and the night vision led's no longer did the job. This was after probably 4 years, not bad considering how poorly built things are today. Ring has some glaring problems though in my opinion, being a consummate tightwad which is why I bought the Wyze doorbell. The price of a new Ring doorbell is pretty doggone high. So what do you get for that premium price? Well it aint the features I can tell you that. Everything the Ring doorbell has, the Wyze doorbell has in spades. And oh yeah, your gonna spend a lot more every year on your Ring subscription than you will with Wyze, about twice as much. So, how do they compare......I don't know what matters to most people but I can tell you the picture on this thing is crystal clear, and I can see a pimple on a nats butt at midnight with the night vision. Its NEVER dropped a connection, failed to load a picture or catch a delivery or annoyed the hell out of me because a damn squirrel ran by the camera. It does what it's supposed to do. And I'm sorry, if you can't set this thing up and install it to your doorway by yourself in 15 or 20 minutes..........well I have to assume you may need help alot, you know? No offense but they've pretty much idiot proofed the install, even I can do it. You shouldn't be hesitant to give this thing a try. I've found the customer service to be quite good and hey, You'll know in a few minutes if this meets your needs. ... show more

Easy to install, looks good, and has lots of features if you pay for the Wyze plus subscription. The battery is doing well so far but I have it on sleep mode to not burn through it as fast. Things I would want different are: make it so I can charge the battery without taking the whole thing down. Also the chime I wish I didn't need two of them in my house. Also this chime is so much larger than the original chime. ... show more

This is way better quality than Ring. We don’t even use the ring camera anymore. It’s probably time to sell it. As long as you have top tier internet connection lol you shouldn’t have any issues. Get it!!!!
