I recently installed the Wyze Video Doorbell v2, and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. Here are my thoughts: Installation and Setup: The installation process was straightforward. I wired it up using the existing doorbell wires, and the included angle bracket allowed me to position it perfectly. No fuss, no hassle. Image Quality: The 2K video quality is impressive. I can clearly see everything I need, including packages left near the door. The wide-angle view ensures I never miss a thing. Night Vision: Wyze has nailed color night vision. It’s almost magical how well it works. Even in low light, the clarity is outstanding. No Subscription Fee: Unlike some other brands, Wyze doesn’t require a monthly subscription for continuous recording. Just pop in your own micro SD card, and you’re good to go. Voice Quality and Latency: The two-way audio works well, although it records only the person at the door, not my responses through the app. That’s a minor gripe. Smart Features: Wyze offers plenty of free nerdy options, and you can unlock more with a subscription. Nothing essential is behind a paywall. Chime Delay: The only drawback is the slight delay when ringing the doorbell. It’s connected wirelessly to the adapter, which then triggers the chime. Not a deal-breaker, but worth considering. Easy to Install,clear image, I love that when someone touches the doorbell it records them for a few seconds. I love that I can view it all in one app with my other cams. The only downside is that if you unplug the base in the house, it will no longer connect to your phone, but that is user error not really a downfall. I had a different cam doorbell before and it didnt require any base... but it was worse quality and didnt get a good connection to the wifi, so that is the tradeoff. ... show more

Honestly I’m psyched with this camera so far, it’s super clear and the features all seem to work really well. The chime works well too, and it was very easy to set up. Now I can easily monitor who is coming and going, and make sure I know when packages arrive (we have had an issue with theft, unfortunately). The app is very intuitive, and I feel like the quality of the camera and programs used are amazing for the price compared to the traditional Ring cameras. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

I'm giving this 4 stars because it truly is a great camera but I'm having some mixed feelings about the battery life and zoom quality. It doesn't detect the motion and sounds 100% either. I've changed my settings many times and have googled the perfect settings but to no avail. Night vision is better than good but not great. Was easy to set up but doesn't wish well in a home with slated vinyl siding (there are kits you can buy). ... show more

The door bell was easy to set up and mount, the chime had to be added to the app separately but it was also easy to set up and can be connected to other devices. It also came with the battery at around 3/4 charged so I had some time to set it up on the app and see how it worked as soon as I got it before I left the battery to charge overnight and mounted the camera the next morning. I've actually gone through two units because I was sure the first one was defective. Nope. Claims to work on both 2.4g and 5g WiFi frequencies. The problems I have experienced on the 2.4g frequency are more than doubled on the 5g frequency. It also seems to not like other devices such as phones and tablets on the same frequency. Turning airplane mode on my phone on and off would cause it to malfunction. Doorbell, chime box, and router need to be within 30 feet of each other for best results. Mine are about 6 feet from each other and all of these issues are persistent. I've even tested having all three in the same room with the same results. Several times a week (sometimes daily) the system will drop connection, stop recording and uploading, stop sending notifications, and will not reconnect unless I restart the chime box or the router. The doorbell WILL work on the chime box regardless, so that connection doesn't seem to be the problem, but several times a week it turns into just an overpriced remote doorbell with no other functionality. When it DOES work, it doesn't work great. I've quadruple checked all my settings and have tested different detection settings, detection zones, detection sensitivity and the results are not very different. In various combinations of settings, this thing will record and upload people walking across the street, but will occasionally ignore the mailman, and ignore even me entering and leaving. So who knows what else it doesn't upload. 6 month battery life? LOL!!! 3 weeks, max. Again, I've gone thru 2 units with the same results. I've even gone so far as to have the cable company swap my router, thankfully that didn't cost me anything. By the way, you can't switch the network on these things without deleting them from your profile and reconfiguring as a new camera. To top it all off, the doorbell itself also emits a chime when pressed, rather loud, and there's no way to shut that off. The Wyze OG cam I have in the backyard works perfectly, though. I'll probably just install another in the front and have a normal doorbell. UPDATE: All problems persisting, now the smart detection settings occasionally reset. I just want people and packages to be recorded. Every week or so it switches back to people, pets, vehicles, and packages. So every time a car passes, it records, and this drains the battery even quicker. Some days I wind up with 30+ videos of cars passing by. Still on other days, nothing, not even myself leaving or arriving. Truly a piece of garbage. ... show more

This is way better quality than Ring. We don’t even use the ring camera anymore. It’s probably time to sell it. As long as you have top tier internet connection lol you shouldn’t have any issues. Get it!!!!
