My husband is impossible to buy for. He's a smoker and always comments on how if it's windy or raining out he can take a smoke break at work. I got this lighter as a stocking suffer (he found it so he got it early) and he absolutely loves it! Works in the wind and rain. Also comes charged so could use it right out the package. Easy to charge, easy to use. He even lit a bonfire with it the other night so it works in all sorts of things. I highly recommend this for smokers, but also as a camping necessity. Definitely ordering the 2 pack next time. Great inexpensive gift for the guy that is impossible to buy for. Also, on another note, this is fairly safe. I recently purchased the LcFun Waterproof Lighter, and I'm really impressed with its performance. As an avid camper and hiker, I was looking for a reliable and windproof lighter that could withstand the elements. This lighter delivers! The dual arc design is incredibly effective, and the electric ignition is both convenient and efficient. I've used it in windy conditions, and it's performed flawlessly. The USB rechargeable design is also a big plus, as it eliminates the need for disposable lighters. My only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars is that the build quality, while good, could be improved. The plastic feels a bit lightweight, and I worry about its durability over time. I picked up the LcFun Waterproof Lighter Outdoor Windproof Lighter Dual Arc Lighter Electric Lighters on Amazon's Lightning Deals and I have to say, it's a great little lighter. It works well for lighting my cigars on the occasions when I smoke them. While it may not be as powerful as a torch, it definitely gets the job done in a pinch. I really appreciate the ability to recharge this lighter - it's so much more convenient than dealing with butane. Plus, it's waterproof, which is always a bonus. The dual arc feature is also a nice touch, as it makes it easier to light things in windy conditions. Overall, I would definitely recommend this lighter to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient option for lighting cigars (or anything else). I’ve been using it for weeks now, and I think it’s great. I just added a second to my shopping cart so I’ll always have a fully charged backup. It would be nice if it had a charge level indicator so that you could know when you definitely didn’t need a backup, but that’s honestly my only mild complaint. It does however, have a blue LED to indicate charging and it lasts decently long, given how quickly it charges. It works flawlessly to very near the end if you use it right. It requires no fuel besides a sip of electricity and there are no flints to replace. It’s clean, so you never have to taste lighter fluid or what it becomes when burned. It’s very solidly built with tight tolerances, safety, and durability in mind. It took me a day or two to figure out how to really use it properly. For lighting cigarettes, you want to draw the plasma to the end rather than trying to insert the end into the crossing plasma streams. You could use it to light a cigar, but there are probably better options. That said, to draw the plasma to the end of the cigarette, I found that short quick bursts of suction (like lighting a cigar) works best and wastes the least amount of stored electricity. I’ve also found that it helps to hold near the middle of the cigarette with your off-hand to help maintain steadiness while “puffing” and a close constant distance from the plasma streams. It’s not impossible to use in the wind, but it’s certainly not ideal. It’s more difficult and therefore tends to drain the internal battery faster. It helps to draw the plasma to the paper first as it ignites much more easily than the tobacco. The safety works great if you use it. I have no fear of it going off in my pocket. That would be bad, so not using the safety latch would almost literally be playing with fire. It stays out of the way nicely if you have a good reason not to use it though. ... show more

I like the lighter but my dog sure didn't. I got home from work and lit a cigarette, my dog immediately ran under the bed like a gun went off, and didn't come out til I coaxed him with a treat. I read a review that this lighter puts off a high pitch that only kids can hear but I guess that applys to dogs sensitive hearing as well. My only option at this point is to keep it in my desk at work, for a spare. ... show more
