    • Great Bang for your Buck after trying many in this price range
This is a great scooter so far and I have been through at least 3 other scooters in this price range. I have 4 kids who all tried them out and they all agreed this is the best one. EDIT: We had 1 of our 4 scooter's latches come undone while riding. This caused a pretty bad accident for my daughter who was riding over 16MPH at the time. Apparently she hit a small bump and that caused the latch to open up and the front bar to begin folding in half. That is a MAJOR problem. We are returning for a replacement and, thankfully, none of our other scooters have had this problem, so I am hoping it's a one-off. But that's a real concern with any scooter and this one had it. The most important issues for me when shopping were the following in order of importance: 1. Battery Life If you have to constantly recharge, it's a no go. This scooter so far has been fantastic. We have been several miles and show only one bar down. Obviously for children and their weight it goes even further. Very happy with this. 2. Speed We returned the first scooters I tried because they only got up to 15.5 MPH, which is just not quite fast enough to be fun on straightaways. But this one gets to 19 MPH, which is about the fastest you want your 8-16 years olds riding at, so it's perfect. 3. Ride Quality We returned the last scooter, which did well on these metrics, but the suspension was a joke. So among the options here, I went immediately to the version with dual suspension and the ride quality is so clearly better than the other scooters. 4. Other Features The cruise control works the way all other scooters work. If it is set to On, it will hold your speed if you keep the throttle at the same speed for a few seconds. The headlights are the same as other brands. The breaking is better than the other brands. The tubeless tires are great and feel very sturdy. The size is spot on for children. Maybe a little tall for 8 years olds but they can ride anything. The folding works. The brakes work. It's cool to have the turn signals, but from the back nobody could possible see them. The interface is pretty easy and better and bigger than other ones. 5. Not sure It's not obvious how good the regenerative braking is (if it comes with this at all) because there is no indication of anything happening. But as I mentioned the battery life is great and we have yet to recharge after several sessions. The scooter apps don't tend to do much and so I haven't even tried the app for this. The only thing that would really make a difference is being able to lock the scooter. Not sure how foolproof that would be, but it's something. ... show more

    • A great cruiser!!
I wanted to try a scooter with honeycomb tires and at least some good basics for a scooter to cruise around on thats easy to take most anywhere(small footprint, lighter weight). This thing actually is much better than that. the 10.5ah battery did pretty well considering it was not fully charged from the factory. i think i got around 11 miles, which is good considering, after a full charge im sure i will get more like 14, maybe a little more, im 246 pounds, so it wont be much more than that! the suspension is nice, i do still feel the bumps from the tires but not nearly as bad as solid tires, and i will never need to worry about tire pressure! i think this is a great choice for anyone starting out or doesnt have a scooter that will do 19mph. this one will do it easily!! and with the battery life, suspension, low maintenance tires, and the ease of the app use, makes this a great starter or a good basic addition to any collection or just a good commuter. Grab your manual so you can scan for your app that you need. the App works very well. just connect to the scooter once you turn it on, this took me a couple times, but is easy. You change whatever settings you like, adjust your speed limit to your preference and you could shut the app off at that point. the settings will stay. or you could keep it on and use the features on there. I wear a size 11 shoe, so i wanted to add a comment about deck size, i can fit my feet just right, if you like a lot of deck space this might be a little tight but for me its ok considering the size and weight, its enough for even a bigger guy. Overall this isnt my favorite scooter, i have 4, but its a great one and i enjoy it!! i think the price is good, even though i got a nice sale price. i think my total was around 340 bucks, i have ZERO complaints for that price!! The media could not be loaded. I hesitate to leave negative reviews because I never want to hurt a business off just my experience. However, an honest review is warranted here if it can spare anyone else the headaches. We purchased this scooter in January as an affordable entry scooter. By June, the scooter stopped working properly. We contacted Asurion since we purchased the protection plan, only to be told to work with the manufacturer because they have a 1 year warranty. So we did and they were very responsive by sending a replacement screen as they felt that was the issue. Received new screen and had to install it ourselves, but that did not fix the issue. Then, they sent out a new charging port, received and installed ourselves, did not fix the issue. It is now August (2 months without an operational scooter and finally, a new battery arrives, we uninstall the old one and put the new one in and excited that it was now working! However, on the first ride the scooter that is otherwise silent now sounds like it has an exhaust on it (video attached). We contact the seller. While waiting for reply we decide to try again next day to see if it’s still doing same thing and it wasn’t, until the scooter shut down unexpectedly and sent my son flying off as the entire handle bar separated from the scooter base where it should be welded. Now, seller is willing to send a replacement scooter after we send the broken one back. They provided a label but the box must be specific dimensions and specific weight otherwise I will incur additional charges?! I was planning to use the same box they shipped the new one in, to send the old one back but that would have been “too easy”. Point being, save your money for a better quality scooter. Don’t purchase Asurion, because you’ll still be stuck fixing these issues yourself whether you’re comfortable doing so or not due to the seller offering a warranty. Spent $300 on a scooter to only have for 6 months plus wasted cost of Asurion insurance. Totally disappointed. ... show more
