Update: (4 stars) I'm adding a star because I am very impressed with this seller. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. They reached out to me after I submitted my original review and informed me of their satisfaction guarantee even beyond the Amazon return window. There really is no risk, so give it a try. It just might be what you're looking for. Original review (3 stars): The main thing that really aggravates me is that the cord that plugs into the wall is hardwired to the pump. When you go to move the fountain in any way to clean it, it's not like you can just detach the fountain from the wall plug. I have my cord fed through a conduit and there is no way I can actually unplug my fountain to clean the pump without removing the whole conduit. It is a real pain and one I'm not willing to put up with. The fountain itself is very flimsy and the plastic is very thin. No real issues with mildew because I have washed it almost every week, but it has been a literal pain every time I do clean it that I have to rewire the whole thing from the wall to the pump. I have a Cat Mate fountain and the cord from the fountain is about 2 ft long and it plugs into the cord that goes into the wall. It is easily disconnected and carried over the to the sink to clean. If yours is easily accessible, this could be a good fountain for you, but if you have to run a wire and conceal it in any way, just forget it. I am very happy with my Cat Mate water fountain and have had it over a year with no issues. I just thought the little Flower mechanism on this one was so cute (though somehow I actually lost the flower but kept the water fountain anyway). The cord is just too frustrating for me. Update: Veken responded to my review and offered a full refund or a replacement pump because it was within the 2-year warranty. I've opted to take the full refund and will purchase a new fountain and a replacement pump for the old one. Fingers crossed those motors hold up a bit longer because I do really like these fountains. Old review below: I liked this fountain so much that I bought one for a friend. But less than five months after purchase, the pump has stopped working. I always keep the water level above minimum (and had recently filled it), and I clean it regularly. I know it's getting power because the LED still turns on. I'm very sad. I will reach out to manufacturer and update my review if they respond. Pros: - good price - large capacity - easy to clean and fill - quiet, even on kitchen counter (with mat under it) - cats all use it - reasonable filter replacement price - LED fun to turn on occasionally Cons: - stopped working within five months :( - this type of fountain requires you to have a backup source of water because the reservoir is not accessible if the pump stops ... show more
