Wow. Who would think i could be impressed by a toilet seat? This was the easiest toilet seat i have ever installed. Things i love: 1. Being able to tighten the screw / nut combo from the top. 2. The tapered side of the nut. If you position it up, it will center the nut in the hole and, i think, help with keeping the seat centered and not shift as much. 3. The one wing on the nut. Once the nut is close to being fully tightened, this little wing keeps it from turing while you're tightening the screw from the top. 4. Seat is comfortable 5. Easy to clean. Things i didn't like or am not sure of: 1. No instructions in the box. Good thing it's pretty self explanatory (especially if you've ever put a toilet seat on before), although, i wouldnt be surprised if someone wouldn't know to put the nut with the taper up (see above). Also, i didn't know what those little white plugs were for - thank you to the other reviewers for helping me with that. 2. I worry about the longevity of those plastic screws / nuts. This a 🚽 seat so it does that for which it was made. I was in desperate need to replace my old wooden seat that I had washed to the point of removing the paint. But I wanted one that was solid and not plastic. And would hold up under multiple cleanings daily. I like the quality & the appearance as well as it's holding up to several cleanings daily so far. I overlooked the fact that this is not a soft closing seat & that's my one disappointment 😔. Otherwise I'm satisfied. But I'm seriously considering 🤔 one that has this quality, & price range, but closes on its own. ... show more

Upon opening box,found seat sealed in plastic.then wrapped in foam.Installed in 4 minutes.The quality and finish is Excellent ! Also has 4 grips instead of the normal 2 found on most seats.Seating Comfort is Excellent.A Great Seat at A Great Price. *****

I prefer wooden toilet seats. I like the feel, the rigidness, and so on. However, the particleboard "molded" seats common today are not very strong. We have a few larger friends, and they have cracked our wooden seats more than once. It was time to look for something else. Solid wood seats are heavy on the wood-grain, which really doesn't go with our decor. So I took a chance on one of these. It feels like plastic to the touch, but it doesn't flex like plastic. While not 100% up there with wood, the lack of flex really turns out to be the most important part to me, so it's okay. If it turns out to be more durable, it will have been worth the tradeoff. Yeah, I've seen the video where a car runs over the seat, but I've also seen Napoleon Dynamite and wonder how many takes they had to shoot before they got one that didn't explode. Cautiously optimistic. The hinges and bolts are the plastic style that I don't like as well, but it may rust less, and I don't care quite as much about that. It may clean easier than the wooden seats I'm used to. Installation was very easy. The normal "white" color matches our porcelain fixture. The seat does close incredibly slowly, but as long as it eventually closes -- and it does -- I can live with that. ... show more

This is a great PLASTIC toilet seat. It's durable with a lightweight lid which closes quietly- perfect for a house with boys who tend to let the lid crash down loudly! However, the title of this prodect clearly states that it is wooden, and there is no part of the seat I received that is wooden. I know what the coated wood ones are like & this is straight-up plastic. Still, a great product and I would definitely recommend it; just know what to expect! ... show more

The toilet seat is of high quality my only problem was with the plastic bolts that came with the seat. They would only screw on part of the way up the screw maybe 3/4 inch only. I had to use the plastic bolts from the old toilet seat I just removed and that worked fine. Maybe I am just a weakling.
