I bought this in “biscuit” which is a nice light beige color. Initially, I bought two of these. One of the seats sent was totally damaged, with a large chunk broken off from the seat. The other one had a “hinge cover” that was broken off from two thin hinge supports, although it did snap in place and seems to be fine. So, I sent the broken one back and later replaced it with an identical order. That replacement toilet seat arrived and seems just fine. The seats are very east to install, adjust and secure. They are substantial and the soft close feature is a plus. Started to give this 4 Stars, but then thought: in dealing with toilet seats, sometimes, sh_t happens, and you simply move on. The product I had selected previously was the commode lid from down yonder. (It refused to remain attached, always. Hit user in the back always. Dumped user on the floor always.(NOT manufactured in U.S.). It was attractive, but completely unreliable, unsafe for anyone. Placed that seat in garbage, where it belonged. Please do your research before you order. This particular manufacturer evidently cares about their customers. Very easy installation. Finally, it is a delight to have a reliable product.     • The lid doesn’t bang shut - ever. Replaced (free) after hinge issue.

The seat stays securely in place, the bolt tightly secure - it doesn’t wiggle around. The “slowly closing lid” is a real positive. It stays up when you want it up, slowly closes with a light tap and never bangs shut. In fact the lid makes no noise at all, ever. You can also effortlessly close the lid more quickly shut with your hand. Bought Kohler because of brand reputation, and for the free shipping that came with this slightly more expensive product. Worth it: The old seat would shift around slightly, and then the plastic phalange through which the bolt affixed the seat to the bowl snapped, rendering the seat useless - after only 2 years. Its price had been 1/3 the Kohler’s. UPDATE: one of the hinges for the lid broke, just a year short of purchase. Kohler customer service was super nice, they’re replacing it. Would have paid for a new one if the warranty had expired - that’s how nice this toilet seat is. Surprised the hinge broke, thick heavy plastic, but that’s what torque will do! A certain user may have been aiming herself toward the seat from an angle. Petite though she is, she promises to be more delicate with the product in future (and reminds me that it is, after all, a tiny bathroom). Have a great day. ... show more

We had a bathroom remodeled and we bought a new Kohler toilet that came with a toilet seat. Well, anytime something comes with an added bonus, it’s usually not the best quality. I saw this seat and decided to get it since it checked all the boxes for what we needed. It was a bit expensive but you get what you pay for…it is a good weight that doesn’t feel like it will crack under pressure (so to speak) it’s very solid and doesn’t move, and actually stays in place. The slow close lid is key, since it is a very heavy seat. And on top of all the great features it was available in the biscuit color that we needed, also a difficult thing to find. We are very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it. ... show more
