This kit fit my American Standard Cadet (3" Flush Valve) toilet, which was impossible to find locally, and had no leaks! Although I bought my toilet almost 15 years ago at Lowes, the Lowes in my area doesn't even sell 3" tank-to-bowl gaskets. Home Depot does sell 3" gaskets, but they weren't the correct type for the Cadet toilet. * The picture of inside the reservoir shows the shiny brass bolts that I just installed, along with the rubber washer/grommet and larger 3" gasket of course. * Black smudges inside the tank was from the old rubber washers (grommets) that deteriorated making their removal a bit of a mess (wear disposable gloves). * White pipe to the right inside the tank is a PVC coupler and pipe I added to raise the level of the water a liite to get a stronger flush, which works. --- Hopefully this will last at least 5 years since this is the second time I've replaced the washers and gasket. ... show more

This is a nice, high quality kit, but they should include the plastic wrench needed for the nuts. Luckily, I had one already but if you don't, buy a kit that includes the plastic wrench.

I used this on my new American Standard Champion 4 toilet. Bought the new toilet and installed it in my new remodel. I had constant leaks and it was straight from manufacture. Installing this new hardware/seal was easy and the quality was better. Worth the money vs having water damage.
