This review is for the Ultimea Poseidon D80 7.1 home theater. It consists of four small surround sound speakers, a modestly sized subwoofer, and a center speaker/control unit. The system is very easy to setup. The front two surround speakers connect to the center control unit via 3m RCA cables, and the two rears connect to the subwoofer with 6m RCA cables (all included). The cables are all identical and can be mixed and matched for your situation. The subwoofer connects wirelessly to the center unit and comes pre-paired. Both the subwoofer and the control unit require an AC wall outlet. The control unit uses a small block style wall adapter plug. It also comes with a TV-style and sized remote control. You can also download a free app to control it with your smartphone via Bluetooth. The remote lets you control the main volume and the bass, midrange and treble levels. There are also preset equalizer profiles or you can set a custom one. There are also something called EQ matrices you can set, but I found those to not make much difference. The remote also lets you change the brightness (only the phone app lets you turn it off) and duration of the volume/source display on the center unit. It accepts for sound input an AUX stereo jack, an optical TOSLINK cable, or an HDMI eARC cable (all included). It will also stream music from your smartphone via Bluetooth. It will process Dolby ATMOS sound input if available from your source, however higher priced ATMOS systems usually have more speakers including several aimed at the ceiling. Sound quality is still very good. The subwoofer is of modest size and won't shake your walls but still makes itself known. Wall mount kits are included for all the speakers except the subwoofer. I have used a standard sound bar for a couple of years and have been satisfied with that so this is a definite upgrade for me. That being said, I’m very happy that I took the plunge because the difference between a standard sound bar and this set up is legitimately night and day. The base from the subwoofer is clear and gives a very satisfying rumble. The five other speakers fill the room with so many layers of sound that I’m noticing new (or disguised) parts of songs that I’ve heard dozens of times before. Well the sound itself is impressive, let’s talk about equipment and set up. It was a very simple installation. Most of my time was spent doing cable management for the very generous length of cords for all of the speakers and sub. The remote is straightforward, but provides a wealth of audio options and settings. There’s also the considerate inclusion of mounting brackets and bits if you wanted to put the speakers on the wall or some other structure. However, if you don’t want to or not able to there are little rubber knobs on the bottoms of the speakers to prevent them from moving around too much. To wrap this up, I am beyond satisfied with this set up. Movies, music and video games one from now on give even more of a sense of immersion. A great beginner system that allows you to be introduced to the Atmos environment at home. The sound quality depends greatly on what amp you are using to drive the speakers, but it is limited in quality. This is to be expected at the price point, but it is a good system and a good way to get your home theatre experience started. This is the newest Ultimea 7.1 Surround Sound System Poseidon D80. And this one has Dolby Atmos. The sound is amazing. It comes with 4 smaller speakers. 2 for the front and 2 for the back. In addition there is a soundbar in the front and a subwoofer in the back. Setting it up is a breeze. Everything is labeled and easy explained in the manual. The most powerful setting is movie, but you can also use the other pre-programmed settings such as Music, Gaming, Sports, etc. It really depends on what you are watching. Most important for me was to be able to connect my iPhone and play my music on it, without turning on the TV. Just hit the Bluetooth button and you are connected. The sound is awesome. I am absolutely happy with this system, and if you are looking for a budget friendly and good system, I can highly recommend it! ... show more

The price for this surround sound is very competitive. For 300 dollars you are not going to get concert hall quality surround sound equipment but you do get a good value for your dollars with this kit IMO. The app is interesting but I have yet to use it much. The sounds is acceptable and the surround effects are good. Overall its a budget option to get 7.1 on your TV. I am not an audiophile and basically go by what I think the sound is like, for this kit, its not bad and I like it. ... show more

This surround sound system was so easy to setup. The sound quality is excellent. It really brings movies to life. Love that it comes with a wireless subwoofer that has two speakers that connect to it. So 5 total speakers. Very functional system.
