* Update - the mat has stopped absorbing. I’ve rinsed the mat left it overnight on a well ventilated rack to dry. I test it with a spoonful of water. It doesn’t absorb, no matter what I try. Now, I have to wipe the mat dry each time my GSD takes a drink. I didn’t see anything that says it has an absorbency limit. Otherwise, the mat still looks like new. 8/10/24 This is adorable! True to the word it does absorb water and not soak through. Exactly what we needed seeing as my pooch has a habit of dribbling. No more wet floor! It’s very cute and dresses up the feeding area. Also doesn’t move on the floor at all but doesn’t stick either. Picks right up to move or rinse. Lightweight and flexible but at the same time well made and not flimsy.
