We have mosquitoes really bad and these work well if you’re staying in the coverage area. They work best if you’re not up moving around a lot, which I tend to do. I use it when my little grandkids come over as using deet on kids may not be a good thing.

It took a few times of turning it on (would go off a couple se ones later) then turning it back on...for it to stay lit. But after about 10 minutes I noticed the bugs not swarming as bad.

I must admit, I was skeptical about purchasing this product, especially the claims about it protecting a 15 foot radius. I have been a mosquito magnet for my entire life and up until now the only way to protect myself was to use spray on repellents that made my skin oily and had to be reapplied frequently. Nothing else worked. No candles, no lighted torches, no yard foggers. The mosquitoes would brave all deterrents and still manage to find me! I had resigned myself to either running indoors when dusk would fall or spray myself down with repellent if I wanted to enjoy my patio in the evening. Until now. This product not only does what it claims, but there is virtually no offensive smell, smoke or spray that emits from the canister! I placed it on my table as soon as the mosquitoes made their appearance and at first they were continuing to find me, (I even got one bite) but within 10 minutes of this device being lit, they simply disappeared! I managed to sit outside comfortably until 11:00 p.m. and didn’t have a gazillion mosquito bites to contend with! I am SOLD on this device and have just placed an order for refills so I don’t run out! ... show more

Sleek design and very efficient; definitely helps keeps the skeeters away in a picnic area, campground, or (most importantly) my backyard. I’ve been using it regularly both outside in open spaces, on the front covered porch, and even inside on muggy days. The fuel cells last longer than you think. I didn't want to use anything smelly this year on the back porch so I thought I'd buy one of these. I really didn't have any great expectations but I've got to say it works better than anything I have ever used! I now take them with me to the kids' ball games and on picnics.

I have two of these and both have stopped working. They won't light up. They also burn through the cartridges. However, when they work they work. I'll order another model and see if they are more durable.
