I put these on the car batteries since mice are attracted to the water inside them. I haven't had any mice problems since. I got a cat too, so I'm not sure what's doing the job. Maybe a combination of the two. The repellent gets them out of the car and the cat takes it from there.

    • Even the scent of peppermint oil is extremely toxic to cats because of the phenol content.
The ad is misleading + should be rewritten because after researching the topic of pepermint oil, it appears that even the scent of the peppermint oil in this product could be extremely toxic to any cat on the same premises. Just a whiff of the peppermint oil could make a cat very sick as their bodies cannot break down the phenols present in peppermint oil. I had great hopes that placing a metal container of this product in each closet would help detour any stray mice from nesting or congregating in enclosed areas such as a closet but now will be returning the peppermint oil mouse deterrent before having used it. I do believe that a container in each closet would've helped detour a stray or occasional mouse.... So far we have only seen one mouse and were able to trap it with one of the small colored plastic traps within a day. Sellers of such items as these should warn potential buyers of the great toxicity that even the fumes from such products as this- present to cats. And a lick or any ingestion by a cat is even more toxic. ... show more

    • Not sure if it works
I purchased this item after my car battery wires appeared to have been nibbled on while parking in NYC. Only used them for about 2 mths - if that much. They became a little loose and a tow-truck guy told me to consider trying something else because if they dropped into the engine I would have a serious problem. My sister swears by this product. Maybe it worked for the short time but I'm not sure. ... show more

    • Smells nice, but not sure they work
We bought a pack of these to keep mice out of our tack/feed room. They might repel a few, but we still have mice. We also bought the peppermint spray stuff too, probably a waste of money. Back to the poison... I wish we didn't have to use it but it DOES work.

    • I think they worked!
I had mouse in my car! Now i do not. I put these all around car. Made me think - repelling mice is better than attracting them!!! I am happy with product. I put one under my hood about five months ago and it is still there stuck to where I stuck it… probably mint has gone by now but sticky is still stuck. Also! I went to dealer for tune up, he had tons of cars with mice issue! $1000.00’s of damage! I am glad i was proactive and did not wait to repel them! ... show more

    • Does not work on mice
I really wanted these to work since it is from a small business. Unfortunately, they do not. We have a riding lawnmower in a shed. We had to spend $300+ to fix the damage done by mice this spring. We bought these & affixed them to the inside of the front cowling a week ago. We tried to start the mower today & it would not turn over. Mice ran out of it & we could hear others chittering away in there. Guess we will be spending more money to get it fixed again. ... show more
