This lock was very easy to install and set up. It has all the features of more expensive locks. I did see others say the fingerprint reader was iffy and I live in a very humid city. I guess we'll see how it works once the spring and summer roll back around. I like that you can set the automatic lock timer and that the key hole isn't hidden behind the keypad. The lock looks very nice and matches my other black hardware perfectly. I also like that this lock beeps and that you can turn off the sound if you want. Very satisfied. I used good batteries so hopefully they last a while. We'll see! This lock was a replacement for a much more expensive amart lock that quit working one year in. So far so good. ... show more

I've gone through 4 kwicklocks in 3 years. Decided to give this one a try. We are over month in, and here's the pro's and cons pro: -Easy to install, AFTER you pay close close attention to the programming section -fingerprint works great 95% of the time. (if it's humid or your fingers are cold, forget it!) -the lock opens SUPER quick, which is great. Kwick brand was super slow -we are a busy household, going in and out ALL THE TIME, 6 weeks later, we are still on the same set of batteries, so that's a plus. was having to change the batteries in other brand at least once a month. Con: -for fingerprinting, the weather plays a factor, too humid, or wet, you have to wipe your finger AND the sensor, so it's easier to just input your code. -Set up, pay close attention to the codes you have to enter for either fingerprint or code, I messed up and ended up deleting fingerprints (due to how the other brands set up was, muscle memory i guess, so if your like me, just pay attention) ... show more

I bought it in April, came home at end of Sept after two month Summer escape. I unlocked it using fingerprint but then couldn’t lock it. Changed batteries, Tried many times still failed to lock it. Reset it, put in codes and fingerprint again still won’t lock by pressing any button. Read manual again, turned out I have to press any key for “2” seconds ! Now it works like before even using the 5 month old set of battery ! ... show more

Just changed the batteries on this after the first 16 months of use in our front door, I consider that to be excellent battery longevity (using Duracell). I could not find any documentation detailing the beep codes of a low battery warning, but the lock was beeping at me with 6 longer beeps then 2 more quick beeps to finish off the 2 -bar, 8-beat musical phrase, so I figured 'that must be the low battery warning'. I'm amazed at the state of the Duracells I took out of the lock, lots of corrosion around the negative terminals, and for fun I tested them with my voltmeter and was getting less that 0.1v, not sure how the lock was working with such low batteries. I cleaned off the corrosion on the coils and put in the new batteries. The lock was without all 4 batteries for around 5 mins whilst I fussed around with cleaning, and it still retained all of the programming/keycode settings. Got it installed. Setup is very easy to understand. Changed master code, added two fingers from each of our family member, added an entry code, and enabled auto lock after 10 seconds. Love it. We just moved to a rental home since we sold our previous home. We had a different keyless entry lock (not the dead bolt style). This one seems to be much better with its features. Let's see how it holds up during the cold snowy winters though. I'll update after this winter or if any problems arise. ... show more
