This worked perfectly. My family of 4 went to Mexico for Spring Break. We stayed at a very safe resort, but having this helped me sleep better at night. We ended up with a suite and the kids bedroom was right by the front door. Our room was upstairs. If you watch the videos, this is easy to install and remove. In our case, the floor was tile and the door was wood, and I was able to get a very secure block on the door each night without too much effort. I’m sure it would work as well on carpet floors. It’s small enough to throw in the bottom of the suitcase (we checked, so not sure how this would go through security- it’s solid metal and strange-looking). No matter how safe your hotel or the area you believe you will be in, you can never be sure when you are staying elsewhere. Better safe than sorry. This tool is small and easy to carry with you but packs a huge punch in versatility! It can be installed in half a minute, it can be removed quickly by you in an emergency, but I think even a battering ram would struggle to open a door with this in place. Nice idea but hopefully this is more of a prototype for an upcoming new and improved version. This cannot be used in any community in door in America. I’ve tried it in the front door, kitchen door and bedroom doors but it does not work anywhere. Tried it in a hotel room door and nothing. It does not slide under nor does it hold and stay in place. Seller was really quick to send, Kudo's. All these threads that are saying they tried it on their door and it didn't work are full of it. A blind-folded chimp can get this to work. Now, with that said, The metal is made from the usual chinese fake aluminum alloy. This is literally a simple tool made to look fancy but it works.
