    • Nicely organized
The box is nicely organized and clearly marked. You will need a Lock Cylinder removal tool and a Follower for your lock along with a good set of tweezers. A mat would be helpful but, I just used a microfiber towel to hold all the parts as i was working on them (not a great long term plan but works in a pinch). The organizer will lift out (be careful) and you can store all your extra pieces/tools underneath. The great thing about this assortment is that it also has a selection of security pins to create your own Master keys for multiple locks. Only one down side to this set, no tools included. The sturdy case has 2 clips to hold the lid down and a foam pad inside the lid to insure pins stay in place when closed. Extra storage is under the white tray just be aware not to tip it if you remove it. I would like to see LAB put together tool kits for each kit sold. As a maintenance worker I now rekey in house and save time and money for the property. ... show more

Having this kit has saved me substantially. Not only has this increased my knowledge of how a lock actually works. But it has reduced how much I was spending on locksmithing substantially. Rather than having to call a locksmith or buy whole new locks, I simply remove the deadbolt, change the pins and we're good. When I first got it, it would take me almost an hour to change out one dead bolt. After having performed this task over 20 or 30 times I've come quite good at it.     • I can rekey tumblers now
As a maintenance man for an 84 apartment complex I needed to have a way to rekey and make locks work more smoothly with the master key. This set fills this need. Now I can take a balky cylinder and make it work smoothly.
