It is sufficiently built though you cannot abuse it. I’m using it pretty regularly as I leave several clubs near it and each time I pass, I take a few swings. It works and is worth the cost for me. Here is what I watch. Frame sinks into the ground after a few hits. Just a lot of force hitting the ball. So I added some cement blocks and that has helped. Screw to tighten last one or two swings. It’s not an issue as the height is held by a snap button detent. I’m actually impressed it has lasted as well as it has, but I do not abuse it. I use irons and my driver at 85mph swing speed. If you are a low handicapper or have a powerful swing speed, this may not last for you. I was going to build one, but saw this and I’d give it a yes based on the conditions above. ... show more

Doesn’t sit flush to the ground so cant really use irons/wedges, works great for practicing using your driver. Screw comes loose frequent and gets loose in the dirt as well after a few hits. Not a great product but I can’t complain too much for something that’s $20.

I wouldn’t suggest this for a pro or avid player, but if you are a beginner and want to get a few swings in work on your form without wasting balls or causing destruction to the area around you. It’s a great little tool, and the price isn’t bad compared to the others out there

This thing works great. I was really worried about durability after reading some of the other negative reviews but after using it for a few days, I can only guess that they were absolutely killing the ball. This is definitely more for practicing your form so I probably wouldn’t be swinging for the fences all the time—head on to the range instead if you’re needing to get some rage out. The ball does hang more at tee height, even at the lowest setting, so if you struggle to get a good divot with your irons then this probably won’t help much with that. But if you just want to practice your swing occasionally: this is perfect. ... show more

I read the reviews and realize this is a trainer for practicing easy swings. I was annoyed that the adjustment knob came loose after 3 or 4 swings. I added 2 regular washers and 2 lock washers to the knob and it was much better. The manufacturers could make this a better product by adding 12 cents worth the washers. ... show more

Decent product for getting in if you practice swings in between rounds. However I found it hard to get it all the way in the ground unless the ground is soft and deep.
