    • The knob or lack of one
This is a good little wall safe and installed easy. It holds quite a bit and is deep enough to stack up bills and put them inside. The locking mechenism takes up space at the 2nd shelf . The Wife and I are trying to think of a way to get ahold of the resest release knob, as thats how one has to pull it open, the knob is slick and we just have a hard time getting a grip on it.     • Long guns don't fit.
Advertised as "long gun/shotgun" safe but the interior dimensions don't mention a little hidden compartment at the bottom which forces your rifles up a couple inches. My 18.5 inch M590A1 would not fit. That's not a shotgun safe. Beware of actual USABLE interior dimensions. Also, beware that this will not travel all the way from China to the Arizona warehouse to you without being damaged due to the weight of the item and the thin cardboard with no packing. Mine was sent back. The idea was much better than the reality. If it had at least fit ONE shotgun that would be have been better. Looks like only long guns with collapsible stocks will have any chance to fit. ... show more

    • Great multipurpose in-wall safe
Ours arrived with evidence of the package being dropped on the top left corner but it didn’t bend the flange so we went ahead and installed the safe. It was fairly easy. I like the little compartment at the bottom. Probably good for one long gun but be aware of dimensions if that’s the main purpose of your purchase. Great for handguns but you’ll need magnetic gun holders. You can keep important documents, jewelry, cash, etc., safe. We’re very happy with ours. ... show more

    • Great, well-built safe
I bought this safe as a gun safe. It’s very well-built and sturdy, easy to install.... I love it! If I could change anything it would be the beeping of the keypad. It’s pretty loud, and if someone is breaking into my home in the middle of the night, it may ruin the element of surprise! Also, there’s really nothing to grip to open the door, so a handle would have made it a little more user-friendly. Mechanically, I noticed the door doesn’t always lock when I close it and turn the knob. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t, so I recommend making sure the door is securely locked before walking away from it. Because the shelves are narrow, my guns, even though they are small, won’t lay flat on the shelves so I stand them up and lean them against the back wall. I had my husband make a little aluminum lip on each shelf so the guns won’t slip off the shelf. I like the fact that we can have two different codes, plus a backup key to get into the safe. All in all a great safe, and I’m glad I purchased it. ... show more

    • Very strong. Not just a gun cabinet. This is a safe!
This thing is ridiculously heavy, which I suppose is a good thing. That could account for the other reviews where the product appeared to have been dropped and bent in transit. I heard my UPS driver drop it twice in his truck in front of my house! Can't wait to install it, but it appears that this is more than I hoped for. Only bad thing, UPS had me sitting around all day waiting on this, only to email me around 5:00pm that it wasn't coming until the next day. Poor service and disappointing. But this things so strong that a burglar's not getting in, even if they can find it. ... show more

Others have mentioned it and if I had seen their reviews I would have passed but the lock for this is so deep you can’t shut the door with a long gun in the safe. In the picture that entire left side is unusable. I can fit one gun on the far right side of the case and shut the door. Because of the way the case is set up you also cannot install any of the shelves if you have a long gun so for this whole case all I can hold is a single shotgun and a few cases of shells on the bottom ... show more

The safe arrived on time but after inserting it into the wall the door wouldn't open, I removed it and found that the lower hinge was broken and was rolling around inside the safe.
