I would like to say this is the most amazing item I have ever received. I am going to be a bit descriptive in my review. I am doing this just so that everyone will understand a little bit about the item a little bit better than some of the reviews. Firstly, I want to let you all know that I am a Massage Therapist and I give this massager a 5-star rating. Secondly, I had noticed that some of the reviews had complained that the massager does not massage the way they wanted it to, the heat not being able to shut off, and it doesn't go down to the lumbar region. Let me explain that as a massage therapist this item is not meant to give you a "Shiatsu-like" massage. It is only meant to give you a vibration massage as it explained in the description. Next, I am 5 ft 3" woman who weighs 230 lb. This massager is not meant to massage your lower lumbar area. It is more for your cervical and thoracic areas which gives a nice vibration in the shoulders, the neck, and the middle back area. The vibration is strong enough as if you are getting a Swedish massage. Next, for those who complained about the heat and not being able to turn it off? You can turn off the key and still have a massage. The lower button that has the little squiggly lines all you have to do is press it once and it turns it off and you can still have a massage. Personally I do not know what people expect from this massager, but I truly love it and I would recommend it 1000% to pay the money and get it. It is not the type of massage that has the rollers that are pressing in and moving around which is like Shiatsu massage it is a vibration massage which is like a Swedish massage. It's nice and light but it's still hard enough that you can feel it and it will loosen your muscles. The heat as it explains will not heat up like a heating pad. The heat temperature is a warming heat. It will heat up to 130 degrees. I received this item last night and as soon as I opened it I couldn't stop using it, it was amazing! It heated up very quickly, distributed heat evenly and officently, the massager part is very soothing and relaxing and definitely helps with stiff sore muscles. I kept turning it back on as soon as it shut off. Like all heating pads as a safety feature it shuts off after 30 minuets and I quickly turned it right back on because it felt good to have that relief of back pain. I even had to fight my cat off because she kept wanting to lay on top of my shoulders for the warmth 🤣, I didn't want cat hair all over the black material. Whenever I had to get up you can easily just unplug the one section of the heating pad so you don't have to undo wearing it, or unplug it from the wall which is very convenient, it works sitting up, I did find it works better if your leaning into it though so the pressure is rougher (lean back into the cushions on the couch or lay back on the pillows in bed) It is very comfortable, you don't have to buckle it but you can so it stays in place better. LIKE- furry-like softness of material on the inside, outside material is also soft and not abrasive, easy to manipulate, light contraption, massage works very well (my favorite feature), heat is at a wonderful temp. and works well with the massage movements, does bring comfort and ease of pain. I suffer from muscle strain and tension in upper back, neck areas, and mainly shoulders, also upper arms. I like that the straps are elastic stretch so they are comfortable around your body-snugly tight but not uncomfortably tight. DISLIKE - it is a little big for my frame so to get the massage and heat on my shoulders I have to keep holding/pulling down the front so that it fit snugly on my shoulders and I can feel the massage and heat, straps could fit a little more snugly around my body. Suggestion: maybe having various levels/settings for straps to fit the various body frames instead of one level. would be a great idea Overall, a great product! I've dealt with a vertebrae issue in my neck, due to a car wreck 45 years ago, that hits me about once a year. The pain is excruciating. Chiropractic care eventually takes care of it but that takes a few weeks. Doctors only want to issue muscle relaxers which is NOT my problem!! The reviews by 2 physical therapists sold me on this one and they are SO RIGHT! The heat is exacty what is needed ..... not so hot that I feel like I'm on fire, but hot enough to get to the muscles. The pulsating vibration gives the muscles the massage they need ... strong enough to be effective but soft enough so it doesn't kill me. (Son bought me a massager with the rolling balls that move all over the place and it was way too rough.) This arrived on a Friday. I spent a couple of hours with it on Friday night; spent 4 hours total on Saturday and 4 hrs on Sunday, spread thru the day. For the first time in about 6 weeks, I was pain free!!! I don't use the belts ... I just put it on my back while I sit in my chair watching tv or crocheting. The flaps that come over the shoulders make it nice when I had to lean forward to grab my tv remote or my crochet scissors ..... the pad stayed in place without slipping or needing adjusted like most single layer heating pads. The off/on button is located about where a pocket on a man's dress shirt would be .... left breast .... and is VERY easy to find/operate. I have dealt with my neck pain for 45 years and this is the first product that I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend for vertebrae, neck, back, muscle pain. Get one for your elderly parents, even if they don't complain of muscle/back pain. They will love it. ... show more
