"After the first time I had to clean this thing out, I almost launched it into the nearest dumpster. My husband, ever the voice of reason (and budget), reminded me how much we spent on it and said I should give it another shot. But honestly, if you're thinking about getting an automatic litter box, save yourself the headache and go for a simple, lid-free one. No matter what we tried, this contraption somehow managed to smell worse than a regular litter box, and cleaning it was like signing up for a horror movie sequel. I have 2 large male cats, going by the measurements it seemed like it would be large enough for them on inside but it's not. The height was ok but because it's oval the sides make it tighter. One cat used it once the day we set it up and he had his head and front paws sticking out the door. He went inside it once more a couple days later then immediately got out and wouldn't go back it. My other cat, that's larger than the other poked his head in and decided against it. In 2 weeks it was used once and I returned it and received full refund. In preparation to return, I found cleaning it was awkward and the "empty" button didn't get all the litter out. It seemed to me that the flap didn't close well and dumped litter back in the barrel. Took it outside to get the rest of litter out but impossible to get it all. I had to hose it out then use a towel to pick up rest of litter. It might have worked better if my cats were much younger and were smaller. ... show more

    • Started smelling bad only after 4 days of use
The litter box is set to auto cleaning and it cleans regularly. But for whatever reason it started smelling like pee only after 4 days of my cat using it. I feel the smell as I approach the litter box. I am not sure if the seal is bad in this product or I got a defective item ?

Super easy to set up. Much smaller than I expected. But my 14lb boy managed to get in just fine. I’m a little concerned about the dirty bag being at the top. I will update. One of my biggest pet peeves is stickers. There were stickers that were pretty much glued on. The clear ones were fine but the white glossy ones do not want to come off. I still can’t get the adhesive off. Why???? A guide book would be just fine. Other than that I’m hoping this will work out well. ... show more

I've had this nearly three weeks now. I live in a tiny studio apartment and this litter box keeps the smells to zero. If you walked into my place you would never suspect I owned a cat. I probably will clean the box once a month but when changing the bags it has stayed very clean. I just double sure to wrap the bag's drawstring an extra couple times to ensure a snug fit over the catchment area. ... show more

I was worried that this product would take up too much space, but I was pleasantly surprised by how compact and efficient the design is. It fits perfectly in my small living area without looking bulky or out of place. Even though it’s compact, it doesn’t compromise on functionality, which is a big plus. My main concern was smell control in a small NYC 2 bedroom, along with safety. I am convinced after only a few days that the sensor works fine; it's not going to activate while your baby is inside. The auto mode also works well; it will activate when it needs to and drop into an air-tight container. If I had the PERFECT model in mind, it would probably include a vent to vent out of the window as well, but I looked for a long time and I don't think that's on the market/invented yet. So basically I can't really think of a way to do better than this model, and for the price I am very satisfied. 10/10 ... show more
