I literally just use the litter we got from Costco and it works great. It can fits our cats nicely and it send me a message that I can track when my cat uses it. The item was packed efficiently for shipping and unpacked easily. The setup instructions were easy to follow and we got it set up and working in just a few minutes. Because we own other types of self cleaning litter boxes our cats adjusted to this one quickly and easily. We got notifications of its use right away. It has been functioning quite well since then. We are very happy with it and will update you when we get the step up for our older cat. It cleans and empties very well and seems to use less litter than some of the others we have tried. It seems to be working well at keeping the smell manageable. It is also very quiet compared to our other machines. I’m very impressed by the litter catcher pad that came with it.
