The convenience it offers is outstanding – no more frequent scooping or worrying about odor control (If you replace the bag once a week). The automatic cleaning function is both efficient and quiet-ish, ensuring a clean space for my cat and making things much easier. The built-in sensors work great, though since I have the litter box in my office, I often will use the app to activate the cleaning as soon as she is done (she is quite stinky). Being able to monitor usage has been nice, especially when I’m not at home. The app also tracks litter levels, so I know exactly when to top it up, which takes the guesswork out of maintenance.     • Mildly obsessed with this litter box.

I debated buying an automatic litter box for a long time, but some family members have them and swear by them, so figured I’d give it a try. I’m so glad I did. This box was easy to set up, and does a great job scooping. It’s not messy, and because the arm scoops all the way up and around and then into the tray the waste doesn’t get stuck like it does in my other auto box (see comments below). It’s also really quiet and scoops pretty quickly. I like being able to track how many times my kitties use it, and they actually seem to love it because it’s always clean now. One of my kitties is really particular about his litter box, and would pee outside it if it wasn’t clean enough for him. He hasn’t peed anywhere he’s not supposed to since we started using the SmartElf. I have four cats, and two litter boxes for reference. I’ve found that the waste bag needs to be changed every three of four days. The odor blocking tray also does a great job of keeping odors in. I can’t smell the waste at all until I open the box to change the bag. I also bought a different kind of self cleaning box, it’s a really basic tray with a scooping arm, and it’s so much worse than the SmartElf. It’s messier, and doesn’t do as good of a job at scooping the poops (the brand is PetSafe ScoopFree for reference). It cost about the same as the SmartElf, which is wild to me.     • No More Scooping! Really great solution for dirty work

We recently adopted a 3-month old kitten, my first cat since childhood. There was no such thing as an automatic cat box back then, so this is amazing! We started using the SMARTELF auto cat litter box about a week after adoption. The setup was straightforward, as was getting the app downloaded and paired. Our kitten was very interested in the unboxing, and once setup she started using it immediately. We've been using walnut cat litter and find it works well with this rake system and there's very little if any odor. It’s made managing the litter box much easier, eliminating the need for daily scooping - we empty the bin once a week. Overall, it’s a practical and low-maintenance solution that we’re very satisfied with. Having a longer power supply cord would be helpful, but I appreciate the extra maintenance parts and bags that were included. Highly recommended! ... show more

This has been an amazing and awesome product I used to have to scoop the kitty litter myself but since getting this it has made a difference, and I know even my cat loves it. After the first use show uses it with no problems at all and also I love that the door shuts so that she does not get hurt. This litter pod is a definite game changer! Since getting this no more scooping for me which is such a blessing and I only empty the waste bin once a day even with seven cats using it. Just take out the bag, tie it up, put a clean one in and go about your day. No more smell means no more asthma flare ups. Honestly, I was a little hesitant with the price but decided to take the plunge and I'm never going back to a regular litter box or any other litter box. I think it's a good value for the money especially that they give you two rolls of bags, extra foam pieces for inside and an extra rake. I'm considering getting another one (not that we need it since one works great for all of them) but just for another room in the house so they have options or if we need to put them in another room for the day I won't have to move the one we have. All of the cats took to the pod immediately. Cleaning it once a month is a breeze. Set up was about 20 minutes since I had a little issue but all good. It says it only works on 2.4 WiFi but I have 5g and it works just fine. You can order replacement parts either through Amazon or their own website and that there are videos on YouTube as well. I don't feel it's noisy as I'm a light sleeper and this doesn't wake me up during the night. You can have it snooze at night if you want and turn off the lights both from the app or the buttons on the side. I like that it's roomy and I've had two cats in it at once before. As far as overall size, I don't feel it takes up much room at all.i think it's like the equivalent or less of two regular litter boxes side by side width wise. I love the step that catches the litter as they cats exit. I use a lightweight clumping clay litter and the machine works fabulously plus I use less litter with this than the regular litter boxes. No issues so far with latches etc. The rake did give me an issue the other day but a sensor needed cleaned off on the inside and it worked perfectly after. ... show more
