Super happy with this enclosure. It was super easy and fast to put together. After looking around and doing research this was the best bang for the buck. Plus, it's fire resistant! We got this for our xtool D1 Pro 20w and it works perfectly. It has allowed us to bring the laser inside to work versus being out in the cold 🥶. One note for anyone looking to get one. The exhaust port is 3 inches. So make sure to get the right ducting size as tape does not stick to this thing for even a temporary fix haha. I paired this with a 6 in inline duct fan and a stepdown for the ducting size difference. We pipe this out an old unused cat door. 🤣 Again great product ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... show more

I actually like this enclosure. It's cheap - and kind of looks it - but perfectly functional. It is a lot easier to use than the enclosure for my CNC setup. Good value for the money. I don't trust the front viewing area all that much, though. I would buy it again.

This is a great device for anything that is cylindrical, but if it isn't perfectly cylindrical, you can't engrave it. What it needs is an adjustable end set of rollers so that you could engrave a glass or metal mug that had axial symmetry, but wasn't cylindrical. Many cheaper roller systems have such ability, but what they're missing and this device has is the excellent adjustability in the spacing of the rollers. I bought a separate LONGER rotary roller lifting frame, and that works, but it is a bit difficult to anchor securely. The newly released SCULPFUN lathe device fixes this problem as well, but it costs about $250, and so may be too expensive for most. By the way, I originally ordered it from Amazon, but returned it when I found that I could get it for $60 less ($79.99) directly from the SCULPFUN website. ... show more

    • You need one of these if you have a diode laser!

Most diode lasers don't have a cabinet of any kind, and that is very unsafe! This material that forms the walls is (basically) fireproof, and the clear plastic front/top piece does have some light filtering ability, but I wouldn't depend on it. Use good glasses, depending on the type pf machine you have. It has a built-in 4" exhaust port for a smoke exhaust, but you need to get a fan and pipe, etc. The clear viewing window provides super good visibility, and is better than any of my other 3 CO2 lasers with steel cabinets. Once it is zipped up, there is little, if any, smell of smoke. This enclosure outperforms a standard CO2 enclosure in every way, and you can use it with another laser if you upgrade or something goes "POP." One caution: I have a 10 watt Phecda which can burn up to 400mm by 400mm, and it just barely fits! Be careful to measure everything to make sure you'll be okay in this regard. If only for the peace of mind it will provide, this is a great investment in safety. ... show more

I purchased this enclosure for my 20 watt, XTool D1. Easily assembled and quite sturdy. I have a suggestion for attaching a vent tube to the exhaust fixture: A 6 ounce can of Bumblebee shrimp (less contents, of course) is a perfect connector. Advise using a can opener that makes a clean cut to avoid sharp edges. I used a Dremel tool to open the bottom of the can. I used electrical tape to attach the vent tube. … as long as you only etch the entire image at once. If the laser jumps around a lot, or if the resolution is too high, it creates problems.. It doesn’t handle .01mm row widths very well. The cogs seem to have a “tick” position, like the second hand on a clock.. So if the resolution is too high, results can come out very strange - like it wasn’t precise enough to move .01mm. That said, .01mm rows aren’t really necessary for 99% of etchings.. And most laser cutters can’t even do it at all, technically. So given that, this is a pretty great product. It just isn’t great for 600+ dpi (in most cases) ... show more

For the budget conscious the price is good. XTool D1 Pro fits with some extra room to spare. A bottom would have been nice so it would be a total enclosure. There are pros/cons. A pro is better smoke containment. Also the exhaust port , albeit well designed, is only 3” in diameter. The reason for 3 out of 5 stars has more to do with one of the slider/pulls of the zipper. It came completely off the first time used. Instead of putting a proper end on the zipper, they simply pinched the zipper into the seam that joins the top panel to the angled panel.
