I have thick wavy hair. My hair is naturally dark ash blonde #7. I got it colored at the salon and it was the color of picture “before” to yellow orange for my taste. So I waited 6 weeks then colored my hair with 10.1 extra light ash blonde. It did exactly what i wanted. Lightened it about 2 levels and eliminated the yellow orange. I used 2 full bottles. I colored the ends first leaving the roots alone. Let it cook for 20 minutes. Then covered all my hair with the 2nd bottle and let it cook for another 25 minutes. I do not recommend using the pre treatment, I did, and it made my hair very difficult to comb through. Next time I’ll try it without. Happy with the results. Hair bleach is the worst thing you can put in your hair. It doesn't matter if you go to the salon or not. This product lightened my hair pretty well. I have medium-dark brown hair, and it turned my hair into a medium blonde. I had no damage. My hair actually feels better. Your hair will turn brassy if you have dark hair. That is why I bought the 7.1 dark ash blonde color to put on after I am done with the 11.0 highlift color. If you have light brown or lighter hair, this will be perfect for you because your hair might not even turn brassy. I wish I had known about highlifts before bleaching my hair because it is way better for maintaining hair integrity. I had less fall and breakage with highlift color than I would have with bleach. You can probably do several rounds of highlift to achieve the color you want. **highlifts work better if your hair has never been colored before.** ... show more

Wow! The only way I can describe my hair right now is that it looks like Barbie doll hair LOL. I followed the instructions and let the product develop for 30 min. After that I did a regular blow out with a round brush and my usual Davines OI hair oil. My hair feels so strong and is very shiny. The breakage I had on the top layer of my hair is no longer as noticeable and I didn’t experience breakage during the blow dry. So I’m a little disappointed. I don’t feel like this did much, it did lighten a touch, and for an Ash it kinda made it seem more red. I did take a window pic and it looked a little less brassy with blue cast light. However if you look at the side by side pics it doesn’t look like it lifted at all. My hair was virgin hair, a level 7 dark ash blond. I expected it to lift a bit more and be more ash. However, on a sheer chance it made my hair a direct match to these extensions which were about a shade too light before. I’m just gonna live with it. I don’t hate it, but I also don’t think it’s level 9 blond. It’s giving 7-8. I’m also not ballsy enough to go for 10-11 in a box. I would let a salon do that. I will say that it doesn’t feel damaged or enhanced. Feels like my same hair. The color is just a bit of a let down. ... show more

It’s box die but a little bit better than some on the market- still very drying. You are better off researching ratios for hair dies from Sally’s etc than using this - or using the powder/developer from the same brand with a purple shampoo if you are careful about stand teasing etc. I have 7A hair and I used this for highlights as I didn’t want a huge lift and the second their bleach hits my head it lifts too high (their powder and developer is amazing by the way if that’s what you’re going for)- after 20 minutes, it had lifted as much as it was going to. I would say this lifted to the color on the box, but my hair is dark blonde – if your hair is darker, it’s probably not going to get very close to that. But if you don’t want to lift a lot, this is the right product! Noticeable difference between the quality of the strands I colored vs other hair- not in a great way. I had platinum hair but I had dark blonde regrowth underneath so I thought I'd give this a try instead of spending a couple hundred $ at the salon. Pictures 1 and 2 are the results of this product. Picture 3 is the result of Ferià platinum from several years ago. My hair is pretty healthy, fine and hasn't had any lightening done in over a year. This product made my hair very soft and shiny with no chemical damage. It gave my hair depth and dimension similar to having high and low lights. I like the end protector that is included to use pre-coloring as it completely protected my ends. However, it did not make my hair true platinum even though I was starting with natural dark blonde. I'm still very happy with the end result but took away one star because of this. If you have light blonde hair this will not give you a true platinum so it may not be for you. Also, I would not recommend using this on any color darker than medium to dark blonde. ⚠️ If using this don't panic when you rinse the color out and you have completely brassy, yellowish orange hair, just apply BOTH toner/conditioner packets, leave on for 15 minutes, rinse and you will have a very pretty icey blonde! ... show more
