    • Heavy and too long for downdraft vent
We really like scanpan but the wok is just too heavy. Because it is so heavy they have entrance small handle which will hit our Bosch downdraft vent.

In a moment of weakness, I purchased this wok to replace an old one that I used regularly. The day that it arrived I was second guessing myself due to the price of the pan. I decided to keep it and I am so glad that I did. I cook with this wok every day, and usually a couple of times per day. It is by far the best constructed and performing pan that I have ever owned. I do not abuse it but am not gentle with it either, and after nearly 5 months and 200 meals, it looks and cooks like brand new. Clean up is a breeze and food leftovers slide right off even if they had been burnt on. (Not a test, just poor cooking skills). The only downside, and this I guess, is also a testament to the quality, is that the wok is heavy, very well built. If you have the means, do not hesitate to purchase this wok. From the experience that I have had with it so far, it looks like it could last a generation. ... show more

My wife loves it. Me too. Pretty heavy. Don’t get the idea that you’re going to toss things around in it if you’re using an induction stove with a glass top however. Heats up very evenly too.

This is probably the best wok made! Use it all the time fantastic! Make sure you also get the Scanpan Scanpan Classic 12-1/2-Inch Glass Cover. With the cover you can speed up softening your vegetables, and be able to view them at the same time. I also use the glass cover to soften my potatoes then remove the cover to brown them. It's a very good quality wok, although a little heavy. The finish seemed to be very well made, but after my first stir fry, and I only used a wooden spatula, I observed multiple light scratches. I will update in a few months.

This was an addition to our previously purchased 10-piece Scanpan CTX set and really does the job as required on our induction cooktop! Like all the others the non-stick surface does not scratch or scar. Highly recommended though the cost may put some off, it will last a lifetime, and Scanpan will replace any of these products if they do fail for any reason (other than abuse of course). ... show more
