  • Great door for a great price if you’re willing to assemble
Size: 40 in
We’re very happy with our new barn door! After shopping a two big-box stores and a local discount building supply center, we settled on this door because it was half the price of all the others. As weekend-warrior-DIYers, we weren’t afraid of assembling it ourselves. Assembly turned out to be very easy. For our installation we also had to trim off about ¾” from the bottom of the door with a circular saw. One of the stiles (vertical board on the edge of the door) had a slight flaw, but we were able to place it towards the wall and it’s barely noticeable. We chose to paint our door white like our trim. Sanding and filling the screw holes was required, as with any unfinished wood door, but we are very pleased with the results. ... show more

  • Overall good, easy to put together
Size: 30 in
Overall super nice product, I bought 2 doors, easy to put together, but this one the slats weren't manufactured correctly so I'm waiting on a response from the seller. Hopefully they just replace the one piece I need that doesn't fit correctly (it was processed in reverse). Also you don't have to use the slats to make it the "k" shape. I'm just going to leave horizontal 2-panel look and stain whatever color I want. UPDATE: seller contacted me same day and said they'd be sending out a replacement board! Very impressed! ... show more

  • Warped Door!
Size: 30 in
Our order was delivered on Oct. 13th. After assembling and painting them in our garage (which did take some time) our contractor came to hang them in our hallway. We found that one is very warped. It wont line up vertically with the second one so we can connect them together and the bottom bows so badly that it wont run in the track system on the floor to be able to open and close it. I went to request a replacement item for 1 of the 3 doors we got and my return window close on Nov. 3rd. Just 3 weeks after getting the item which wasn't enough time to assemble and schedule with our contractor to hang and notice anything was wrong. Now I am out a door and the track and everything is already hung. I was excited as these are heavy doors and seem to be good quality, if I can get a replacement I would change my rating! ... show more

  • Great quality and price. Easy to assemble!
Size: 28 in
Update. 9/7/20. Second 36” door we ordered arrived today and you can see In the pics the board A is cracked in several places. One looks like they even tried to glue before sending. Other one is so cracked we could use this board as it break. Hoping for a quick reply from seller and a replacement board send ASAP. **got a reply a few hours later and board was shipped the next day. Very easy to assemble and look good. I actually had to order another door, 36”. When taking all the measurements I didn’t even think about the tandem hinges taking some of the length up so the two 28” doors don’t quite cover the closet opening and moulding. This has nothing to do with the door though and I ordered the 3rd door from here too. Also decided to put another coat of black stain on the existing door, while I wait for the other one to get here. I would suggest that when shipping more than one door, don’t bundle them together. UPS was going to leave it by my mailbox bc it was to heavy for him. It was raining that day and luckily I walked out when I saw him and told him I would help him get it to my door. ... show more

  • Not bad for the cost, but anticipate some work of your own.
Size: 32 in
The package arrived in good order even though UPS chose to leave it out in the rain. Sad since we have a covered front porch they could have used. Be aware that the upper screws used to hold the stiles to the horizontal members will most likely interfere with your hardware for the door strap/roller. A counter sunk screw at a 45 degree angle like a Kreg fastener will fix the issue, but it will be something you have to do on your own. A couple of slats were warped and were not really usable, I have an inquiry in with the seller to see if they will replace them. Also, all of the clearance holes for the screws had to be drilled. They counterbored the locations, but did not complete the job with a clearance hole for the fasteners. If you don't have a drill and correct drill bits, you won't be able to complete the assembly. One of the stiles was cracked, and I'll have to fix with super glue. Too large and bulky to try and return. All of the wood is indeed complete pieces and not finger jointed manufactured wood like another door I ordered in the past. I plan to paint this door, so most of the imperfections will be covered, but anticipate a good coat of primer/blocker prior to painting. I also recommend assembling prior to paint to check every thing, then diss-assembled and paint individual parts. But be aware that the paint will add some thickness. The door is not overly complicated and could be made easily if you have all the power tools and equipment and of course the time. You'll have weigh your odds on the price vs. time vs. material cost like I did. If you don't mind making a few adjustments then this is not a bad door for the price range. Fully assembled doors will cost much more. Could have been a four of five star with just a little more quality control. ... show more

  • Precision Product
Size: 46 in
I needed a door at the bottom of my basement steps so guests would have privacy.(Ok, my son moved back in). I checked home repair stores and got quotes to install a door. Wow, it was over $1000. I read the reviews on this products and got brave enough to do it myself. The whole project was less than $350 with door, hardware, and stain. I read the reviews and they were very helpful and gave me the confidence to do this project myself. The door comes well packed with easy to follow instructions. I only used a rubber mallet, drill and a screw driver to put the door together and hardware. It fits together amazingly well. I have never seen such precision cut wood. The white pine was light for me to lift and handle. It was super easy to work with installing hardware and took stain well. Great product. ... show more
