  • Perfect! Seriously
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
I was window shopping these and the much less expensive TITLE Gel Power Weighted Super Bag Gloves for months. When I finally felt that I wasn’t getting the most out of my heavy bag workouts, I pulled the trigger. Although I was apprehensive about the price, I went with these over the TITLE gloves because I didn’t like the idea of the removable weights and zipper on the TITLE gloves, and the wrist closure looked a little iffy. I am a buyer’s remorse kind of guy – because I’m super cheap – but I have no problem saying that I am so glad that I went with these gloves. They are amazing! To be fair, for all I know, the TITLE gloves could be amazing too. However, I can say from experience that these gloves are incredible! You can’t tell in the picture, but there are actually two layers of thick hook-and-loop style wrist straps. One that secures a wide and durable elastic band segment directly against the wrist, and another of equal width that secures the glove in the typical fashion. Yes, it is an extra step, which might seem daunting to anyone who has put on gloves solo, but it is manageable and definitely worth it. This is especially true because of the weight of the gloves. I was afraid that my fingers would be doing all of the work keeping these sledgehammers secured on my fists, but the heavy duty wrist straps certainly get the job done and, therefore, relieves additional fatigue. My other pair of nicer leather gloves are super hot. I assumed that this would be the case with these as well. I couldn’t tell you how they accomplish it but, for whatever reason, these gloves stay comparatively cool. Much cooler than my Ringside Omegas. I was also a little apprehensive when I saw that these gloves were filled with foam. MiM (machine injection molded) foam to be precise. I have had bad experiences with the some of the foam filled gloves in the past. Either being too thick and clownish, or having a weird shape and rubbing my hands raw. I’m pleased to say that these gloves do not necessarily feel foam filled. They feel more like a broken in pair of classic padded gloves, in my opinion. It’s not too much, but still provides plenty of protection for the knuckles. I would have to imagine that, like other weighted gloves, the weight is added in the wrist. Unlike other weighted gloves, the weight is not obviously added to the wrist. To me, the weight of these gloves feel perfectly distributed (I have the 34oz gloves). As far as the benefits of these gloves, they are obvious; and quickly. I was getting to the point that I could beat on the heavy bag for an hour and not feel like I was getting the workout I wanted. These gloves set me back a couple of years. I now feel like I did when I first started. When I finish a workout, I can tell that my body has been put through its paces. At the end of my normal workout, I have always liked to put on a pair of 8oz bag gloves until exhaustion, just to wrap it up. With 16oz gloves, I could tell the difference dropping down to the 8oz set, but nothing crazy. By my third workout with these gloves, when I dropped down to the 8oz set, I felt like I had rockets strapped to my wrists. The improvement in my hand speed, is crazy; and it was apparent within a couple of weeks. It has been a very long time since I have boxed opposite an opponent, so I will keep these comments limited, but, knowing nothing else, if I had to choose between an opponent who had trained with these gloves versus one who hadn’t, I would choose the opponent who hadn’t every time. If hand speed matters to you, I have to recommend that you at least give these a shot and see for yourself. As for the quality, again, these gloves are tops. As I mentioned previously, I’m cheap, so even my nicest pair of gloves previously weren’t super high end. Still, these are the nicest/highest quality gloves that I’ve ever owned. I feel that the cost is justified; even for a cheapskate like myself. I hope that my workouts eventually outgrow these gloves too and that I have to pick up the 50oz set. I cannot say enough about these gloves. If you’re thinking about getting them like I was for way too long, go ahead and get them. I cannot imagine that you’ll be disappointed. ... show more

  • These are well built gloves...be ready for the challenge.
Color: Marine Green/Black 50oz
I have a pair of 24 oz. Ring to Cage gloves and love them. The 50 oz. version is basically the same, but with additional weights built in, especially in the wrist area (the gloves are pretty much the same size). The trick to these gloves, with the double velcro, is to put the first strap on so that it is just catching the velcro...then when you put your hand in the glove the velcro will hold and you can pull the strap over and into place. Then the outer strap goes on. So...the 50 oz. version was an incredible workout. I practice with 12 oz, 24 oz. and now 50 oz.. Great to change it up...and wow, do your hands seem to fly in the 12 oz. after working with the 50 oz. -- as if you do not have anything on from a weight perspective. It was an intense workout with the 50 oz. gloves. The first 5 minutes of the first session were probably the hardest, but after 15 minutes you do get used to them. Finished off an hour set absolutely drenched, but not overcome by the weight. There is part of me that wonders if it might have been better to step up to the 36 oz. gloves first...and if you have not been training with at least the 24, I definitely would not try the 50 oz. right away. But if you have...this is going to give you a new challenge. Incredibly well padded, well made gloves. Unquestionably worth the price. ... show more

  • Excellent quality boxing gloves, durable and well made.
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
I use the 34oz gloves to train, hit the heavy bag and spar. They have been great for boxing, provided excellent support and so far the quality has been superb. Was looking for an upgrade from 16-20oz gloves and more hand/wrist protection. The straps are extremely secure and my hands fit snugly in the glove. I would recommend these to any boxer looking to up their training and get better hand protection. If you are upgrading to 34oz weight it takes some adjustment learning how to throw punches with the additional padding is very different. I found the additional padding gave my hands great support. Overall, great gloves and fantastic quality. ... show more

  • Very well made gloves
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
The gloves are very well made except for the fact that I have very large hands they were too small, the thumbs were too short, and hand depth was maybe an inch or so too short for me .wish they would make a larger size

  • Only the toughest need apply!
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
These gloves are for hardcore heavy bag training only! Not for the amateur or beginner level, and definitely not for sparring. If you're just starting out and you insist on purchasing these heavy duty sledge hammers, be carful because you can seriously injure yourself if you do not know the correct way to hit a bag or throw a punch. With that said, I LOVE THEM!!! I get the most intense heavy bag work out of my life! I typically do 5 sets of 5 min rounds on the heavy bag, but with these gloves on, my arms felt like jelly after the second round and I was struggling by the end of round 3. Intense! And when you see the gloves and put it on, you'll know where all your money went -- Dri-Max interior(Nice!), thick foam protection, straps and stiching is top notch. In my opinion the best training gloves on the market. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great Cushioning
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
Great Cushioning in that you cannot even feel contact on your own knuckles when you hit your fist together knuckles to knuckles. The 34 ounce are very heavy, and in the second week I threw a hook shot into a heavy bag and I went to high and to wide, and I had to stop because it made the shoulder sore. A week after that, I punched a hard straight jab as the bag was going back and over extended the elbow, and I am still seriously sore after two weeks; however, I have made this same mistake with 16 ounce gloves, but the 34 ounce overextended it just a little more. Outside of these two Amateur mistakes, they are great to workout with on an Everlast 100 Pound C3 Heavy Bag. ... show more

  • Good quality.
Color: Marine Green/Black 34oz
Been using these for a little bit, they increase your hand speed when you swap to 12oz gloves. Good quality, very thick. Has double straps on each glove which is really nice. You don't need hand wraps for these gloves when compared to 12 or 16.
