Hoses are the worst. They will leak water, clamp, entangle, and pile up in a pile, and be exposed to the sun until they disintegrate. At least all of my previous hoses were like this. up to now. We have now installed this hose. There has never been any problem. It is sturdy, convenient, and not eye-catching. It pulls and contracts very smoothly, ensuring that its evenly wound internal guide rails are truly genius. It's very long, I can use the same hose to water my backyard and front yard. As an elderly woman, I have grown tired of wrestling with traditional hoses. And after reading reviews, I decided to try this product. So far, with limited use, I find the hose and reel to be as described. It was fairly easy to mount. You just need to line the holes up exactly. I'm 69 years old and was able to lift the hose housing easily and maneuver it into position. My only complaint so far is that the nozzle is cheaply made and leaks. I was so fortunate to stumble upon this .I had no idea it even existed. Buy this if you are in need of a new (length) hose; you will not be disappointed! It is so adorable, practical, and simple to retract.. You will not experience any remorse. I absolutely adore it! They are essential for keeping the watering pipe away from the ground and flower gardens while it is being used. They are resilient and improve the aesthetic appeal of our residence due to the hose being carefully stowed rather than strewn across the ground. It is easy to install and use. The only worry is that the shell is plastic. In summer, the temperature outside is more than 100 degrees. Hopefully it’s not easy to break due to sun exposure. But they said after 17520 hour testing , there is no obvious fading. I don't think I have to worry about this problem.very good size and light weight. ... show more

This retractable hose reel is much easier to use than than the hand-crank versions I've used until now. Installation was simple and fairly quick because of the well designed mounting bracket and the excellent enclosed instructions. (I used Tapcon screws instead of the masonry anchors that came with the reel.) The hose firmly locks at whatever length I pull out, and retracts without any binding or hesitation. The 5/8 inch hose provides a much better flow rate than the 1/2 inch hose that is common to many other 100-foot reels. I think the GLAHODEN is a great value because it performs so well and saves a lot of time and effort - all at a reasonable price. ... show more
