I’ve had rabbits basically my whole life, we’ve always used water bottles. I saw this one had a cup, I decided to try it out. I’m so glad I did!!! It holds more water, the rabbit doesn’t have to spend forever licking on a nipple pushing the metal ball up and taking forever to get just a small amount of water, the container is so much easier to clean, the spring to hold it onto the cage is strong and does not fall off, the rabbit can’t flip over the dish and it can’t eat it either. I’m really glad I bought this. I with I would have bought a heater one for this winter ( which I’m going to do) That way I don’t have to rotate out water and deal with ice blocks. ... show more

    • Well made and works perfectly!!
I got this for my 2 old pet hens. They figured it out right away. I have it set high enough so they won't kick stuff into their water and they can't spill it. The cup is large enough for the hens to easily drink out of yet small enough that a chick would have no problem drinking from it if it was set closer to the floor. The water tank seems to be made of a very durable plastic. It is fairly thick. It doesn't feel like that thin brittle plastic that breaks so easily. The lid on top opens easily and it's easy to see where the top of the water is. It easily held 8 cups of water. The old girls seem very happy to have it.     • A little pricey but a good waterer
I got one of these waterers for our rabbits. It works well for them and is easy to fill. It can be a little annoying to clean as grime gets caught in the nooks an crannies - but it isn't the worst to deal with either. For the convenience of refilling it and the ease my bunnies have with the little cup at the bottom, I would recommend it again. Just don't leave too much water in them when it is freezing! ... show more

My 2 ferrets love this. They hated the water bottles and would knock over bowls, but this they love. And it's so much easier for us to fill

    • Bummed because this could be a great product!
This item did work for a couple of weeks. The little bowl filled with water. But then it started to barely trickle out and stopped flowing all-together. I tried to clean it out but that didn't fix the problem. Perhaps you just can't reach the part that needs to be cleaned. Either way, it's a design flaw. The return window has closed and I'm stuck with a product that doesn't work. Bummer!! ... show more

The product seems sturdy enough and so far so good. But I was not happy that 3 of the waters recieved today were missing their springs to hold them on the wire. Need better quality checking when packaging the product up to ship.

    • Bunnies and the kitten love it
Good: Mechanism is simple and provides easy, fresh water for rabbits and animals to lap up. No more frustrated bunnies trying to get a few drops by chewing a metal tube. Large reservoir for water Easily clean the bowl by twisting it upside down and/or use a piece of paper towel to remove debris from the bowl Handles outdoor heat and sun well A few criticisms: The top lid is tricky to keep attached to the reservoir, it pops off too easily. The lid stays on top, but just is not clicked tight. Inserting the little plug to remove the bowl is impossible for big hands and you spill the water. This is why I turn the bowl upside down to remove debris or wipe with a paper towel. One concern: all of the weight of the reservoir rests on the little red plastic connection to the metal bowl. There have not been any issues in over 6 months of the first of 3 that I purchased, but this might be a weakness of the design. ... show more

    • No More Flipped Water Bowls!
This thing is great! This water system was recommended by another rabbit owner. Yes, I was tired of cleaning up flipped water bowls, but I also dreaded the idea of my sweet bunny without water to drink. This system solved the problem. Easy to set up.
