I was so worried I was goung to look orange because that has been my experience with other tans. They look too fake! Fake tans make you look extremely cheap and makes you appear low value. Love this! I was looking for a non toxic sunless tanner. I am fair skinned and don’t tan. I use this all summer and any time before an event. Alright, settle in, folks! I have a hilarious story to share with you about my recent experience with the Beauty by Earth Self Tanner Tanning Lotion. Let me start by saying that I'm usually as white as a ghost, and I've always been too scared to try self-tanners because I don't want to look like an orange Oompa Loompa. But after hearing rave reviews from friends and reading about how natural and organic the Beauty by Earth Self Tanner is, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions carefully and applied the lotion evenly all over my body, feeling pretty pleased with myself for finally taking the plunge. Fast forward a few hours, and I was admiring my new golden glow in the mirror, feeling like a bronzed goddess. Feeling confident, I decided to head out for the day and run some errands. As I was walking through the grocery store, I noticed a man giving me some odd looks. At first, I thought he was checking me out, but then he approached me and said, "Excuse me, miss, but I think you have something on your shirt." I looked down to see what he was talking about, only to realize that the self-tanner had rubbed off onto my shirt in a few places, leaving some pretty obvious streaks. Mortified, I quickly made my way to the restroom to assess the damage. To my horror, I discovered that not only had the self-tanner rubbed off onto my shirt, but it had also stained my hands and feet an alarming shade of orange. I looked like I had just spent a week in a tanning bed gone wrong. The rest of my day was spent avoiding eye contact with anyone, trying to keep my orange hands and feet hidden from view. I felt like a walking advertisement for the dangers of self-tanning. Once I got home, I immediately jumped in the shower and scrubbed the self-tanner off as best as I could. But even after all that, I was still left with some residual streaks and orange stains on my skin. Thankfully, I had another trick up my sleeve - lemon juice! I had read that lemon juice can help remove self-tanner stains, so I squeezed some onto a washcloth and started scrubbing away. To my surprise, it actually worked! The lemon juice helped remove most of the stains, leaving me with just a hint of a tan and no more orange hands or feet. Despite my initial mishap, I continued to use the Beauty by Earth Self Tanner over the next few weeks, making sure to apply it carefully and avoid wearing light-colored clothing until it had fully dried. And let me tell you, once I got the hang of it, the results were fantastic. Not only did I have a natural-looking tan, but I also felt confident and radiant in my new skin. I even received compliments from friends and family, who couldn't believe how natural and even my tan looked. One of the things I love most about this self-tanner is that it's made with natural and organic ingredients, which is a huge plus for me. I try to be conscious about the products I use on my skin, and knowing that this one is free of harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances gives me peace of mind. I never leave reviews, but I’ve tried a number of self tanners in lotion or drop form, and this is easily my favorite. The color is perfect after one application (no need to build — i bought the light/med) It goes on very thick, so that took a little bit to get used to, but I liked seeing the white cast at first, helped me make sure i covered all the areas. Soooo it goes on well and has a pleasant smell…at first BUT it develops in the typical tanning lotion smell like all the rest. I despise the smell so much. The color of tan looks nice and authentic. I slept in mine with black T-shirt and black leggings. Barely slept because I smelled so bad but had a pretty golden glow with the light fair color. Even after showering you still smell faintly for a couple days. I’m smell sensitive so if you don’t mind it, this is a good product but the main reason in me buying it was the ads saying it had no smell. ... show more
