This sunlamp is fantastic. It’s clearly made with high quality materials. It’s compact, making it easy to store. I saw results after the first use which was only 3 minutes. These bulbs are incredibly strong. I recommend following the instructions and starting with low minutes and increase as suggested. Use the goggles! Another upside is the low heat. When I use this, I don’t sweat like I would in a tanning bed. This makes it easier to use almost anywhere. I have had this for a few months now and use it 4-6 times a month.     • Love the lamp, but timer stopped working after 2nd use.
I have mixed feelings about leaving this review. I love the product, but there are flaws. It is very easy to get tanned from this product. I purchased it because I get skin infections (fungal) every Winter and the medications no longer work for me. I am in the sun in Florida most of the year, but in Winter I do not get out in the sun enough to kill off the fungus that attacks me. UV kills it. So I bought this to keep it under control over the Winter and as a side reason, to keep me tan through the Winter months. I am very dark all Summer long and hate when Winter comes and I start to turn into a pasty white boy. First, let me say that if you are not getting color from this, you are either an ALIEN or you are sitting across the room from it. These bulbs emit UV light in rather large quantities, and there is no way that you will not get tan, unless you genetically CAN NOT get tan. In which case, it is not the fault of the product. I still had a very good tan when I used it first, and I managed to get a burn. I figured my skin could take it since I almost never burn from the sun and have a good tan. I added a couple minutes to the time, which might have been fine, but realized later I was too close to the bulbs. If I burned with a healthy tan on darker skin, please be careful if you are fair skinned. Start with just one minute per area. Adjust up by 30 seconds a day until you feel a TINY bit of tenderness about an hour after treatment. So, the bulbs work very well. It is easy to set up. The metal housing is a very good quality. But..... If you need the timer, good luck. Mine quit working after the second treatment. I set it for 6 minutes, so I could do 2 minutes each on 3 different areas. The 3rd day it stopped at the 4 minute mark. So I have no timer. For me this is not a problem since I can just count it out in my head. It works as a form of meditation, so I don't really miss the timer. But for most people, the timer is going to be really important. Also, at the price you are paying, you would think that something as inexpensive as the timer, should actually last longer than 2 days. I mean, you can buy an egg timer for $2 and they last for 30 years. So I hate to disparage a product that I love and depend on, but it would not be fair to other consumers to give it 5 stars. ... show more

The first thing that inspired me to buy this sun tanning lamp is the convenience. I used to go to a tanning salon but found it difficult to make the time to get there regularly. The second thing that made me want to buy this sun lamp is the savings. Although there is a larger upfront cost, you definitely end up saving money in the long run. After about 6 months, it's already paid for itself. Also, my husband can use it when he wants at no additional cost. It just seems like a no-brainer to us. The adjustable stand is easy to set up and makes it easy to adjust the angle of the lamp depending on whether you place it on the floor to do your lower body or put it on a counter or chair to do your upper body. The device comes with instructions regarding how long to use it and how far away to stand. I highly recommend following these instructions carefully so you don't burn your skin. I am very fair skinned and by following the instructions for my skin type, I haven't burned at all. The lamp has a very helpful timer so you can set it for the recommended time and avoid accidentally using it for too long. It also comes with two pairs of protective goggles for your eyes so you don't have to purchase them useparately. I make sure to use indoor tanning lotion beforehand to moisturize my skin. Then, I use an after-sun cooling spray on my body and rosewater spray on my face afterward. That seems to help cool down my skin and prevent any dryness from the sun lamp. When used regularly, such as two to three times a week, I get a nice little glow. Also, I find it really helpful for eczema and depression. My skin seems to stay clearer when I use the device consistently, and I also notice that I have fewer dips in my mood. I work from home and don't get outside nearly enough, so I can supplement my sun time with this device. It's also great for those rainy days or the winter when seasonal affective depression starts to set in. Honestly, I wish I would have purchased this sun tanning lamp years ago. Really good little sunlamp works great for at home tanning! Perfect for someone like me with a small home that doesn’t have room for a regular tanning bed or have time to go to a tanning salon regularly. This works.. But! you have to follow the instructions. You can get burned if you’re not careful! Once I got my “summer tan” I use this 2 or 3 times a week for the allotted time allowed and it has held my tan. In the cold months and gloomy days it DOES help take away the winter blues! Also, I have saved a ton of money and time. Footnote: If the bulbs don’t come on, just make sure that the cord in the back of the unit is secure.. this only happens if you move it around a lot. ... show more
