Read the manual and follow the directions. It immediately gave me a tan. I do not burn easy at all but I did get a little red a couple times in spots that hadn't seen a bed or exposed to the sun this year as much. I used to spend 80.00 a month on a membership and have to drive 20 min 1 way to it. Now I can stay at home! Bc of the size I do it in sections. Like 3 min for the upper back. 3 min lower back of body. 3 min for face and chest and then 3 for the lower front. I had my doubts about it and waited a while before buying but I can Def say it's worth it. Takes 10 seconds to assemble and comes with Eyewear already which was a great surprise. I am a stay at home mom of 2 littles with hardly any time to spend on myself. This tanning lamp has become such a great at home staple in my self-care routine. I used to go to a tanning salon or a gym that had tanning beds to get just a little color to my complexion here and there, but now I can do it right at home so easily. Definitely read the manual and follow the time limit instructions because you can easily burn if you do not take the proper precautions. But if used as intended it makes at home tanning a breeze. I am a firm believer in the benefits of the different frequencies of light that our sun provides. However, winter in New England is void of uva and uvb frequencies to a great extent. To fill this void, I purchased the Fuji sun tanning lamp and the Vitamin D lamp. Both work perfectly and get me through the long winter months of lack of sunshine.     • Love the lamp, but timer stopped working after 2nd use.
I have mixed feelings about leaving this review. I love the product, but there are flaws. It is very easy to get tanned from this product. I purchased it because I get skin infections (fungal) every Winter and the medications no longer work for me. I am in the sun in Florida most of the year, but in Winter I do not get out in the sun enough to kill off the fungus that attacks me. UV kills it. So I bought this to keep it under control over the Winter and as a side reason, to keep me tan through the Winter months. I am very dark all Summer long and hate when Winter comes and I start to turn into a pasty white boy. First, let me say that if you are not getting color from this, you are either an ALIEN or you are sitting across the room from it. These bulbs emit UV light in rather large quantities, and there is no way that you will not get tan, unless you genetically CAN NOT get tan. In which case, it is not the fault of the product. I still had a very good tan when I used it first, and I managed to get a burn. I figured my skin could take it since I almost never burn from the sun and have a good tan. I added a couple minutes to the time, which might have been fine, but realized later I was too close to the bulbs. If I burned with a healthy tan on darker skin, please be careful if you are fair skinned. Start with just one minute per area. Adjust up by 30 seconds a day until you feel a TINY bit of tenderness about an hour after treatment. So, the bulbs work very well. It is easy to set up. The metal housing is a very good quality. But..... If you need the timer, good luck. Mine quit working after the second treatment. I set it for 6 minutes, so I could do 2 minutes each on 3 different areas. The 3rd day it stopped at the 4 minute mark. So I have no timer. For me this is not a problem since I can just count it out in my head. It works as a form of meditation, so I don't really miss the timer. But for most people, the timer is going to be really important. Also, at the price you are paying, you would think that something as inexpensive as the timer, should actually last longer than 2 days. I mean, you can buy an egg timer for $2 and they last for 30 years. So I hate to disparage a product that I love and depend on, but it would not be fair to other consumers to give it 5 stars. ... show more

I’d been contemplating ordering this for a while but just couldn't pull the trigger. I’m so happy I finally made the decision to place my order. The lamp is larger than expected and started up with no issues. Be sure to follow the instructions and keep at least a 10-12 inch distance because it does work well even when you think it might not be hot enough. It has nothing to do with heat and more to do with the UV rays it emits . I started at 3 mins every day for a week, then 7 mins a day the next week, 10 the week after and now I maintain my tan with only 15 min 3x a week. Very happy with this powerful little lamp…you will be too! ... show more

This sunlamp is fantastic. It’s clearly made with high quality materials. It’s compact, making it easy to store. I saw results after the first use which was only 3 minutes. These bulbs are incredibly strong. I recommend following the instructions and starting with low minutes and increase as suggested. Use the goggles! Another upside is the low heat. When I use this, I don’t sweat like I would in a tanning bed. This makes it easier to use almost anywhere. I have had this for a few months now and use it 4-6 times a month. I set it for 10 minutes and that’s more than enough to get the results I want. ... show more

Tanning lamp works great, no complaints from us. I just strongly suggest that you follow the directions. My wife did one 15 mins session and thought it did not tan her legs at all. So she did another 15 mins session and she got burnt to the point where she had 3 inch circles of water blisters a few days later. So it works better than any tanning bed you would use in a gym.
