I’m 33 have self tanned since middle school, lotions, drops, foams, you name it. Iv been consistently using this for about two years now. I have red hair, very pale skin. I use ultra dark in the summer, dark in the winter. Get a lot of compliments, somehow people have no idea I use self tanner, longevity is 👌🏼 also a little tippy for all self tanners. This is my favorite self tanner!! I don’t have a good before picture because I’m always keeping up with this. To give you a visual- I live in the Midwest and this photo was taken in December (haven’t seen the sun for months.) It gives such a lovely bronze, I never feel orange. It goes on so evenly. Although I refuse to go anywhere while I’m letting it cook anyway, it has a lovely smell. I always get the “medium” shade for my fair skin tone. I'll preface this by saying that this is the best self tanner I have ever used. No streaks, great color (olive/brown, not yellow/orange). BUT there are two cons: 1. The smell after you wash it off and it starts working. I personally do not like it and it gives me a headache. It's like cookies mixed with old nail polish. 2. The product most definitely expires and no longer works. If you pass the 6 month mark (I use it weekly, in winter only on my face/neck/arms and there's still product in there) it will stop working: it will maybe stain your skin gray-ish and give you no tan, so you'll end up tossing the bottle. An expensive bottle. On that note, it's pricey, and it's a con as well. With the subscribe & save you can save a few bucks, but it's still more expensive compared to similar products. I am a "Lindsay Lohan" type of redhead, light skin and the "ultra dark" works well on me, so don't be scared to dare. Tip: It can sometimes wear off in patches, but if it does, use a horsehair glove in the shower and it'll go away pretty quickly. Another note: I do not use the face drops, I use the body foam on my face as well, by mixing it into some moisturizing cream. It works ok on your face this way and reduces the chance of patches. I would advice against applying it directly on your face without cream as it will get into your pores and leave them darker. ... show more

I will die on the hill protecting this product. I have tried so many other brands. Loving tan, jergens, bondi sands, glow your own way, st. tropez, tanologist… you name it! I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying tanners and THIS ONE IS THE ONE. I’ve been using coco and eve for years now. It is not sticky for long, it’s dries fast, it doesn’t streak, you’re not orange, and it isn’t patchy. Plus it lasts longer than most too. Remeber to exfoliate or it’s only as good as it can be. The tan this gives me is crazy. I don’t tan in a bed, and I don’t get out in the sun very often because I work midnights ... show more

I use self tanners often and have been looking for one that 1. Doesn’t smell awful and 2. Doesn’t have as bad of ingredients as most have. I’ve seen many people recommend this one for a better smell, and from looking at the ingredients on Yuka it looks like it’s not too bad for you. First off it came kinda weird with the bottle all discolored as shown in the picture. I was thinking maybe it spilled but it wasn’t sticky or wet so I still used it. Upon using it twice now here’s what I noticed: -There is still a smell in my opinion, although different somehow than most, but still not my favorite or nonexistent like I’d hoped. -it does have a nice color (I applied with a mit after exfoliating + moisturizing) I rinsed off probably around 12 hours from application and it wasn’t over the top dark but still there. I didn’t take a picture so for reference I am fair skinned and blonde and got the darkest color and it didn’t look crazy dark for me, more medium imo. - it fades very quick, but evenly. Most tanners I’ve tried seem to hang on for a few days at least depending on my activity/shaving/exfoliating etc and often times patchy and uneven. This one fades evenly but by the second day it seems almost completely gone, so that’s a pretty big drawback to me. I’ll keep using until the bottle runs out because I do like the ingredients but not sure I’ll repurchase unless I can figure out a new way to make it last a bit longer. ... show more

I have literally never used a self tanner. That’s this good. Something anyone who’s purchasing this needs to know, though is that the ashy hue isn’t part of what’s going to tan your skin there’s just an ashy residue that just washed off after you rinse yourself. Also, it only lasts maybe two days. Best way to use it is to leave it on overnight without rinsing at all and you’ll need to wear black clothing that covers your entire body.
