I have had this item for a week now and I’m loving it. You can operate it by remote or the controls on the actual product. There are three color modes for both the logs and the flames. You can also chose them separately. For instance you could have blue flames with red logs. It has two heat settings and effectively warms up the 500ish square foot area I have it in. At the time I am writing this review the heater has been running on the high heat setting for about 3.5 hours and the sides and back are cool to the touch. The top of it is warm but wouldn’t hurt anyone. You can definitely tell that it’s a fake fire but even heaters that are 2 or 3 times more expensive that this one, you can still tell they are fake. I don’t anticipate it requiring too much power but I’ll look at my bill after a month or two and update it it’s sucking down a ton of electricity. All around it’s a great little heater, looks nice in your home and is priced appropriately. ... show more

We are getting a new house built and, someday, will install a wood stove. Until then we wanted something in the corner where the stove will go and this electric fireplace caught our eyes. It looks nice and I like how the "fire" looks when on. It is nice that the buttons are hidden behind a door as that helps hide them. I enjoy the cold ambiance and use it as a decorative tool most of the time. You can use it around the year, depending on your air conditioning settings. These are very well-made. I did have to have a replacement for the first one that came obviously used not working with no remote or book, etc. Amazon. was very good about replacement The new one I received was wonderful it’s metal, not plastic certainly more of a believable flame than of those pretend fireplaces. In the past you can adjust it to many colors and two temperatures. It kept the room very comfortable instead of heating up the whole house I wasn’t using. I also liked that the heat that came off came off the top of the little fireplace heater instead of at the bottom, which is much safer. ... show more

The heater itself is great, works the way it’s meant to and looks fantastic. However, the first one I received was missing the bolts to attach the legs and was in the incorrect color. They sent a replacement that was again in the wrong color. I would like the correct color, but getting a third replacement seems ridiculous and likely to again be wrong. The media could not be loaded. Ok, so I going to start by saying that I wasn't really expecting much but this little electric faux fire place blew me away. From the way it was packaged, to the way it looks and operates. It came very well packaged and protected. The box was rather large but it came inside another slightly larger one. Everything was well protected with Styrofoam bumpers, plastic bags, etc etc. Nothing damaged on it. Not a single scratch. There's not much installation going on, just the legs. All is needed is a Philips head screw driver. The remote comes with a button cell battery as well. The flames color combination/speed is beautiful. Don't have to have heater on for the flames to work and viceversa. I just can't get over the realism.... I turned the heater on to make sure of it works..yes it does. I live in Florida but I am not counting on this to heat the house on those " cold 49F" mornings we experience here a few nights per winter, but it seems to heat up well enough. When the heat comes on, a little fan turns on as well but it's very quiet. I am glad I bought this little faux fireplace. ... show more

I bought this heater for my office and it is absolutely wonderful! Right out of the box, it was easy to set up and heats up the space very quickly! Multiple settings and 2 color changes. Easy to use remote control. I love the faux flames and the traditional orange flame setting. I looked at many different similar heaters and am very happy with this purchase.
