The media could not be loaded. This is the second fireplace insert that I have purchased. I installed the first one into a fireplace opening that was a non-functioning fireplace (condemned by professionals), and it fit into the opening perfectly along with the framework that was already installed. I installed this one into my current home that has a fireplace, but needed a little more alteration in order to make it "fit" properly. I purchased the 36" wide which fit exactly perfectly horizontally. I needed to build a simple frame to fill in the top and bottom as well as make a brace for the back where I could screw in the insert so it would hold securely. The insert works just as expected, and I love all of its features. It allows for different colors of flames as well as rock colors and it even has a variable heater that puts out just the right amount of heat as needed on my Texas winter evenings. The installation can either be hung on a wall, or built into the wall or fireplace (as I did), but either way, the instructions are easy to follow and not all that difficult for a person with some simple carpentry skills. I highly recommend this product as it is easy to install, has many different features, and is a beautiful alternative to a dusty, smoky, dangerous wood burning fireplace in your home. By the way, I would not have purchased a second one of these if the first one did not impress me so much. I am 100% PLEASED with this product, and I believe you will be also. Enjoy! ... show more

Love these fireplaces! They were affordable, very sturdy, quiet and attractive with realistic looking flames. I mounted one to the wall in my finished basement and used the second as an insert in my tv stand on the main floor. These put off enough heat that my furnace barely runs when they are on. We ordered this based on reviews and we are very happy. We used it as a fireplace insert and made a wood frame to fit it there. So far we love the look and all the features. Set up was super easy, too. Remote works just fine. There was an issue with our order, but the seller was fantastic. The first order was lost in transit, so the seller sent us another with no hassle at all. The seller responded quickly to our emails and we got the replacement fireplace within a few days. We bought this to install on the back side on our kitchen island in our condo. Original plan was to recess it, but we would have had to re-route some plumbing and electrical. Opted instead to surface mount it. I used screw in anchors in the drywall and the install went smoothly and looks good. I used part of the box to make a guide and taped it to the wall with plumbers tape. Used a laser level to ensure it was straight and drilled small pilot holes. All told it took 35 minutes. The unit sticks out about 4” but really is unobtrusive. I may build a frame around it later to finish it off further, but it looks quite good. Does not put out as much heat as I expected but it is good enough and adds a nice ambience to the room. ... show more

I wondered if this would look cheesy but I thought it would add some pizazz to my rental in the master bedroom. My contractor built the wall in 1 day so it could be recessed. IT LOOKS AMAZING and I haven't even painted the wall yet. You can change the colors of the flames with 2 different color settings, change the speed of the flames, dim the flames and use it with or without the heating mechanism. It looks amazing and will surely "wow" prospective tenants. Also, I wanted a second remote (in case tenants lose one) so I reached out to the company by Googling R.W.     • Sleek, awesome room heater!

This heater delivers on all counts: warmth, looks, quiet, and ease of use/installation. We were concerned about using it on a wood wall, but no problem as the only heat generated is on the front, near the outlet. The manual does not describe this well, though. Installation is a breeze for on-the-wall mounting with a strong bracket, although it helped to be 2 of us as in manual to better hold glass. Did use our own shorter screws so as not to stick into knee wall storage behind. Heats our 10x15 bedroom just fine here in Maine (it is on second floor with no other heat source). Looks sleek, nicely designed with lower indicator lights going-out until you need them with a touch on screen or remote that’s works great. We can hear the fan, but it is quiet enough to be barely heard background sound. And we are having such fun playing with colored lights on shimmering crystals (hard plastic, but look like glass) that work fine as described. Although not real logs or a real fireplace, it is enough different that it can be enjoyed for its own merits. Especially love the tall, dancing flames that add reflective primal ambience. The big black cord is a bit unsightly, and we hope to install heater in wall and hide cord as another project, but this was as advertised. The 30 inch size was just right for this room, not available with many vendors. So, unless this product fails, it is delightful for a distinctive, funky, effective and easy-to-use heater if this is your style—and using this electric heat via our community solar farm means it is carbon free, an added bonus for climate change. ... show more
