This electric fireplace is one of the more realistic and very well priced units I have seen. The glass doors and screen inside the firebox add to the realism making it attractive and fun in my room. I like the crackle sounds. Sadly, a couple of the recordings seem to have a distant dog barking in the recording loop. Oops. Happy there were several tracks to pick from and different volumes as well. I like the remote and especially like the feature that once you have the settings and sounds how you want them, you simply turn on the remote and it is all set how you left it. The fire dimmer is also a nice touch. My cat and I curled up and fell asleep happily in front of it on the first night I set it up. Thank you for a good electric fireplace at a great price. The product arrived sooner than expected. It was packaged perfectly and wasn't hard to install at all. What we like about this fireplace is that it looks fairly realistic. It puts out heat and the flames have colours from orange, yellow and blue. It comes with a remote control and you can choose different crackling sounds if you wish, or no crackling sounds at all. Fire place looks realistic and heater works good.. Just installed, so time will tell on durability. Trim kit easy to install and very well made. Great buy for the price. Replacement for wood insert for a fire place that is approximately 36"x 36" . Trim kit filled opening perfectly.

So far, I am very happy with the fireplace. The installation was easy, which I put into a framed space in the wall. The light functionality is acceptable. I have yet to try the heat the crack sounds are fine. I was also concerned about securing it in the space as some others have noted tipping concerns. Since I was in a frame space I decided to drill two holes in the side panel and secure it with 2 1/2 inch screws, one on the top on either side. You can see from the pictures that it’s pretty inconspicuous and once the doors are closed you don’t see it. once I paint them black or find black screws to replace them, it won’t be noticeable even with the doors open. the minor modification for the piece of mind of not tipping is well worth it. ... show more

The last fireplace insert I had was terrible. It came with the furniture and the first one stopped working before a month, the second came completely damaged and the third stopped working very quickly also. I spent a lot of time looking for a replacement and found this one. I wasn't absolutely sure it would fit right so I was thrilled to find out it was a perfect fit. It's sturdy and very nice looking. It heats pretty well, the flame settings are very nice, but I haven't figured out the crackling sound yet. No battery comes with the remote so I had to order some. I hope, hope, hope this one will last. That would make it truly perfect. ... show more
