Two heat settings (high 1500W and low 750W) put out reasonable heat, but CANNOT be used as a main heat source. The thermostat can control the room temperature to suit the user's preference. The countdown timer can be set to turn off the fireplace from 30 minutes to 9 hours

We have loved the fireplace wall that we added to our room, this has truly transformed the space. This fire place looks great and has many cool color settings. After a month of use in the winter the heating mechanism started making a rattling noise. We reached out to the manufacturer and received a free replacement part. The replacement did the same, a month or so in, began to rattle. We now just use the fire place for the visual component and only use the space heater when guests aren’t around. ... show more

I have purchased 3 of these for different projects, to replace old gas fireplaces. I like the look even when it's not turned on. Has lots of settings and color option. It does kick out some heat if you turn that feature on. It raises the temperature in our condo's great room by a couple of degrees, but mostly I turn it on for the fire and ice ambiance. The media could not be loaded. I had several issues up front. First, i ordered the wrong size and thanks to Amazon making returns easy, I simply returned it and ordered the larger size. The new one came in and some of the flame lights were not working. The seller was amazing and after the troubleshooting didnt work they sent me another one very quickly!! If you’ve ever had trouble with an online order, you know how maddening it can be only to never resolve it! This was the total opposite! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Installation instructions were not the best, but the install was pretty straight forward. I built an entertainment center and had a hole cut into the 3/4" plywood to install this fireplace. I had to add to the bottom of the hole in order to support the fireplace and to help keep the face of the fireplace parallel with the face of the plywood. The end product is very nice looking and functions properly. It's not going to be primary heat but does add a bit of warmth to the immediate space. The only thing that is a downside is the fan is not unnoticeable (I'm probably being a little greedy), it's not super loud but it also seems a little louder than necessary for how much air it moves. ... show more

This product is exactly as advertised. We get a lot of enjoyment from it. Decent heat output and relaxing flame effect. Would recommend using Ana Whites fireplace tutorial with this fireplace. Ours is a modified build of hers using the manufacturer’s specifications.

Our first experience with an electric fireplace, and the clear & smokey plastic nuggets and the 'logs' make for a very nice and relatively authentic fire. Don't count on lots of heat from the heater system, but it works. Make sure you check the electric outlet, we ran a dedicated circuit for the heater aspect. When the shipment arrived, the glass front was broken, but Amazon support quickly had a new one dispached. Also, instructions call for 2"x6" framing for the unit, but we used standard 2"x4"s and it's just fine. Enjoy! ... show more
